Does anyone have a recommendation for a good service department in Atlanta? So far I have eliminated Mall of Georgia Ford and Gwinnett Place Ford due to poor experiences at both of them. They both genuinely seem to despise EVs in the service department.

I made an appointment at Mall of Georgia Ford for a warranty issue and a dealer-only software update. When I showed up at the appointment time the service adviser seemed annoyed that it was a Lightning (which was disclosed when I made the appointment) and said it would be a week until their EV tech could even look at it.

I had a battery module replaced at Gwinnett Place Ford and the tech didnā€™t even bother to balance the pack. Itā€™s been 3 weeks and my truck still wonā€™t charge past 87%. (Theoretically it should balance itself within 22 days, but so far it has not.) They also missed an obvious TSB to update the software to fix the active air dam issue. They were non-communicative the whole time, and the SA made up complete falsehoods without bothering to double-check his facts.

I would really just love to have a reliable service department that takes pride in their work, even when itā€™s an EV!

Any positive experiences to share?

Iā€™ve had good experiences with Jim Tidwell Ford in Kennesaw. Theyā€™ve done all of my CSPs and routine maintenance. Usually get an appointment the next day and completed same day. Iā€™ve never really needed any serious ā€œworkā€œ done like a module swap, so that might be a different story but I liked them.
