Looking into something to preemptively stop any sagging when towing my new 32’ TT that I’ll be picking up in a couple of weeks. it’s coming with a weight distributing hitch, but 700lbs tongue weight is going to eat into my PB load capacity pretty good.

Anyone had any luck or thoughts on the RoadMaster Active Suspension kits? They show the kit for the 21, and lots of good reviews, but I wonder how many were paid for.

That’s what the heavier GCVWR and GVWR packages are for. Even swapping out all the parts and the frame won’t change the sticker. If you get in a serious accident, or get incredibly unlucky and get stopped by a commercial vehicle highway patrol truck that carries scales, they’re not going to care about anything except the yellow sticker with the GAWR numbers.

I was reading on the Tacomaworld forum, a guy got unlucky and a bored commercial enforcement officer wrote him a ticket for being overweight. The guy wasn’t even towing anything but had a rooftop tent, racks, bumpers and all the overlanding stuff.

Hi Jcartwr97, I was looking at these this morning. Please update the thread if possible with how things go. I was looking at putting in air bags but the headlight sensor is stopping that for now, then I saw these. I wasnt sure if they would fit with the headlight sensor or if they would actually help reduce squat.

Had it on my 2016. I towed a 24' car trailer and it helped. Oh yeah I had to paint the rear axle because it rusted..... Nothing new......

I have them on my 16 and love them! I will be putting a set on my 21 if it ever gets built. They not only help with towing but week hop and body role as well when not towing. I normally tow a 21ft boat and my truck is level with it attached. here is a pic of my truck towing a tractor home for the weekend and you can see the rear end is not sagging much.
