Hi there! Long time listener, first time caller…

I’ve got a 2022 Lightning Lariat, with power running boards.

I‘d like to upgrade my stock tires to some tougher 315/70/17 tires (stock: 275/60/20).

Do you think these will interfere with my power running boards?…

(and if so, any thoughts on workarounds?)

FYI - I’m not planning on raising/leveling the truck (unless needed).

Appreciate all you!

Not sure about the running boards, but I don't think you can fit 17's over the brakes. 18" is the smallest I have seen fitting.

Roger that. Perhaps 295/70/18 is safer?…

(i love those 17”s though 😙)

This thread reminds me that I hate how tire sizes are documented. Maybe it makes sense if you work with tires all the time, but why the hell is sidewall a ratio of width instead of a ratio of overall diameter?
