I've noticed this when shifting into neutral to coast, it clicks and moves, but is still applying regen and slowing me down. I'll have to try the drop and reset trick to see if that cures it.
I’m glad to know about this workaround, but I’m sticking with my plan to NOT do it so the dealer sees it happen vs taking my word for it if I bring it in fixed. I love a good hack, but not if it’s gonna be a recurring safety concern. I want it FIXED.

My shifter has four distinct detents, nothing in between PRND, might be the OP's shifter is on the verge of failure, better to get it inspected and replaced if it's defective.

Yep. I want a new one and not a workaround.

Yep. I want a new one and not a workaround.
Update: truck sat for 3 days before they looked at it at the end of the day Friday. Shifter to be replaced. Might see it a week after I dropped it off.
