has anyone experienced the Tesla adapters erroring out until you use another Tesla SC in the same parking lot? Mine did 50% of the time and I had to keep switching to another stall in the same charging place

Had no issues likely 100+ charges and very few times would actually be the same charger in a location. That error rate I would suggest an adaptor issue - assuming you have no issues at DC CCS chargers.

Not to discount your experience, but 22% at 2 mi/kwh in a standard battery like mine is only 44 miles. That's cutting it a little close, and I like to cut it somewhat close.

On our road trips, I run it below 10% every stop in our Mach-E. It charges better the lower you get it. The only time you will see anywhere near the charging limit is below 20%. I'll pull it off below 50% if I can already get to the next charger with more than 7%.

On the way back from Dallas in November going south on I-35, was supposed to stop at EA Waco per the car and ABRP, but, I aimed for Buc-ees in Temple despite a depicted 0% arrival. I slowed down to 65MPH and made it with 7% remaining, 21 miles range. Perfect. By the time we got done going to the bathroom, eating and looking around, the car was above 80%.
This is why I tell people these trucks are for people who like math - I've "Hyper-miled" quite a few times where its been a strong headwind or I know I'm pushing range - drop it down to 50 and mileage almost doubles from 75.

If we all drove 50 the trucks would get 400 miles a charge lol.

Great trip report! Thanks for sharing.

I live on Vancouver Island (west coast of Canada) and see other Lightnings daily. I am pretty sure we are a hotbed of Lightnings! Last month I took a 1 hour drive and stopped counting at about 12 or so.
