Hi. I’ve seen the other threads discussing ATT vs the ford streaming, it’s definitely confusing. The feature I want is to be able to remote start when I’m out at a restaurant or not at home ( at home the truck is on my wifi). So is that part of the ford streaming or att service?

It is cellular based, for sure, with an underlying carrier like AT&T, but you don't have to subscribe or do anything for this built-in feature to work. The truck is a large computer device and has several ways to 'connect' to services, especially those that you use to trigger features such as Remote Start, or Door Lock/Unlock, from your App. When you use your keyfob, of course, it uses the keyfob's 'radar', instead.

My PRO works my Remote Start and Door Lock/Unlock by using the App, exclusively, since my truck does not come with a Remote Start enabled keyfob. The app works great, most of the time, but there are times when it seems to take a long time to enable the truck, or it does not work at all. I suspect those times are when a cellular signal is hard to find.

For my PRO, and since the keyfob is something I do NOT wish to have to carry around, I have left the keyfob in my Center Console since I purchased the truck 15 months ago. This allows me to use the Ford Pass App exclusively for Locking and Unlocking the truck, and for Remote Start. It works perfectly, most of the time.
When a cellular signal is hard to attain, I have an extra 'skeleton key' hid on the frame, just in case, but more recently, I installed a Ford aftermarket WIRELESS KEYPAD, programmed to the truck as an additional 'keyfob', and mounted within the ChargePort door, hidden. This is just for those times when the cellular signal is not available, or slow. I can then Unlock the truck via the keypad, etc.

It all works great, but be prepared for a few times when it seems something is not 'working' correctly. Just like our phones, there are times when a cellular signal is hard to find or connect to.

When in Bluetooth range, and PaaK setup, it works via BT.

Do you have some window-break sensor, or anything? Like a beehive, it seems like once someones inside, there's no more security. Almost like the Hollywood trope of people always keeping their keys above the sun visor.
