Have the 22’ Platinum B & O sound, was very disappointed with the audio quality. I think my old 20’ Ranger Lariat B & O sounded better. Have been doing some thread searching to figure out the best route for a subwoofer upgrade. I don’t need anything extreme, I’m 15+ years removed from driving around in my high school years with 2 10s and a 12 in the back. But I do still want more bass than what this B & O is pushing. Is Stealth the way to go? What about a small 6.5” in addition to the current system or replace the current sub with a better of same size or larger?
Any advice helps

I upgraded my bass to 2 Kicker comp CWRT12 inch subs in an enclosed box under the rear seat. CWA1200 kicker amp to power them both. Amazing bass but I like a lot of bass. It’s all controlled with a bass knob so I can turn it down or up when I want. I haven’t replaced the front 6x9 and tweeter or the rear 6.5 yet. The subs and amp were $1600 installed. No effect on the range that I have noticed.

I agree with you 100%. I had a 2020 Ranger before 3 weeks ago when I sold it and bought my Lightning. I just ordered the Skar audio rear sub (dual 12's), RP-1200 amp, Kicker Keyloc, Pac APH-FD02 and a 4 gauge install kit. I'm not young kid but in my old age I appreciate clean crisp audio.

What route did you do with?

A self-powered sub is the best solution and I would be talking to people at a custom car audio shop as they know which options work the best and can be easily installed. For myself I prefer to use the space under the rear seat for storage and that is more of a priority than window rattling bass from the truck's audio system.
