Well, to install this charger is just under $5k. Needless to say I don't really need the speed as the mobile charge is doing well. I'm thinking of just installing a NEMA 14-50 male extension and using the existing 50 Amp line and set the charger for 50 Amp. Anyone done this approach?
That's not a recommended solution and introducing a point of failure. Also depending on being code compliant where you're at, you may need to install a GFCI breaker on that 50A circuit. So, you're best to just remove the 14-50 outlet and wire the FCSP in its place, the FCSP can be mounted over the 2-gang box. Set to operate on that 50A circuit, you charge at 40A -- which a good bit faster than the 30A of the mobile charger.

Well I got an extension for 50amp and easily install as a side to just plug in vs hardwired. I manual adjusted the rate down to 40 per instructions. A bit of overkill for sure, but uses what I have, keeps the outlet available as a backup in case of failure.

I ordered my ER XLT in July with price cut announcement and got it Oct 10th. Nothing in my order or info said it came with Pro station, so I actually got the portable charger. Well today this was at my garage door.
