Swapping Interior Lights to LED?

This may be too general but on any new vehicle I’ve always replaced all the interior lights with LEDs.

Any easy reference for a list of what bulbs are needed or recommendations?

I'm also interested to know this. Can anyone with a service manual pipe in?

Related, are all the interior bulbs a consistent size or are there a bunch of shapes and sizes that would have to be swapped out?

My Lariat came with all LED interior lighting. I kind of assumed all levels did.

They put out pretty good light. Ironically this was taken in the dark. The inside the cab the lighting is accurate but the garage itself appears to have been assisted by my phone's night mode.

Just drove my XLT Mid tonight and indeed, the map lights are LED.

I wish I could have ordered the LED headlights but they aren’t available for the regular cab.

Yes, LED lighting is used in the lower trim levels, too, XL probably included. My XLT is all LED. Certainly all switch backlighting (including PRNDL and HVAC units) are LED, as are the map/overhead lighting. Cluster and infotainment screen, LED.

I wish I could have ordered the LED headlights but they aren’t available for the regular cab.

I’m sure Morimoto will have LED housing assemblies ready sooner than later. Otherwise, give it a few months and adapter harnesses will be available to plug and play OEM LED lights.

My XLT 302A has full LED interior lighting (white), IIRC the higher trims get the color swappable ambient lighting.
