Sync Keyboard won't pop up (Wifi password, etc)

Anyone else had this happen? I was trying to reconfigure wifi and can't get the keyboard to appear. Tried tapping everywhere, manipulating volume, switching dark mode / light mode. Nothing will get it to pop up. Same story on other screens like the bluetooth vehicle name. I'm on 6.8.0. Any ideas? Some google-fu indicates this has happened to Mach-E owners on occasion.

Did you try a Sync reboot?

didn't even have the chance - when I went back to try again today it popped up. So weird.

Welcome to wonders of that all touch screen system. Mine became so unstable on my Mach-E and was never fixed. I'm very happy with the XLT trim for a more traditional control setup.
