I activated Connectivity for nav and I introduced sync screen issues.

-Power button became unresponsive
-Volume knob was unresponsive yet volume on steering wheel worked.
- nav screen is black
- apple car play failed

So I disconnected the 12 v battery for a minute and all screen functions came back.

Then the fronk wouldn’t close and double beeped error. WTH? Research on forum suggested fronk didn’t know its position. So per forum search suggestion I manually closed fronk to reset position sensors. Hurray that took care of the Fronk issues.

I’m learning every day about finicky Lightning stuff. Thank you forum for suggestions.

Whenever I have trouble with the Sync screen I just reboot it by holding down the Volume- and Seek right buttons for 10s or so until it reboots. Has solved all my issue so far.

I initially tried that but the power button in the center of the volume rotating knob was non responsive.

You need to hold the Volume - and the Seek Right on the steering wheel for 10-12 seconds to reset SYNC. It doesn't need the Power button to be operating for the reset to work. This is FAR safer than pulling the 12V power across all modules. In fact, it is fairly dangerous to do that if an update is in progress. Removing 12v power should only be used as a last resort.
