I’ve used each of these, my views.

Options:
1) Strap/suction: Camco Tow-N-See Mirror

Not as cheap as you’d think ($50/pair new $30/pair used), looks ugly, causes the most wind noise and can be distracting, doesn’t feel intuitive. I disliked them so much I went and bought…

2) K Source Snap and Zap

Love these. Can be found cheap ($70/pair new, $40 used) not much more than the above. Left them on for an extended period of time even and it felt pretty natural. Can be a pain to get on and off, makes me feel as if I might damage the existing mirror. No noticeable hit to range or noise increase. The only annoyance is the lows of power fold as these will rub against the door if folded. If they didn’t, I’d leave these on probably permanently. But alas that led me to…

3) Factory tow mirrors.

5 min to install per side, futzing with the snap and zap above can sometimes take me just as long. I’ve swapped them on and off several times now. AMAZING visibility. Pricey though ($1800 new for the pair, $1000 used) Plug and play for function but requires recalibration for cameras if you have 360 or bluecruise. Did not take a big range hit as I’d expect. Everything still works but boy are these suckers heavy. Significantly more so than the originals.

ok I think I'll go with the Source Snap ones.

I had tow mirrors I unstalled on my Silverado, but I'm undecided whether I need them on my Lightning with the cameras etc.

It just depends on what you’re towing. If it’s a car trailer or a utility trailer, you probably don’t need them. If you’ve got a 30’ camper, it’s still useful.

I'm hauling a 28' camping trailer & have hauled it once so far & didn't really miss the tow mirrors. Guess my opinion may change over time.

with the Ameri-Lite trailer I had I could not see if there were cars behinds, I want to know because if I'm going to be short on range I would like to know if I can slow down
