I traded in my 10 month old Lariat SR for a Lariat ER today. I do a lot of driving daily (26,000 in 10 months) but bought the SR to stay under the tax credit threshold. With the previous price reductions now qualifying the ER and the recent $7,500 Ford incentive I decided to pull the trigger.
I shopped my trade in to various dealers and a bunch of the car buying sites and the best I could get was $48,000 so that didn’t cover my payoff. I was told several times the EV market is soft right now, especially for SR. Fortunately I can get the $7,500 tax credit and a $1,000 rebate from my electric utility to cover that and leave some money leftover.
During the winter months I would sometimes need to DCFC to get through my normal day so I think this is going to be worth it for me as winter is approaching.
