Driver-Focused mode only turns off heat to the passenger side IF no one is sitting there. It is to help you reduce e-heat usage by automatically disabling passenger heat when no one is there.

From the owners manual:

If A/C blowing on her is the problem, you should turn off the upper vents on the passenger side.
