Hope it works well.
I had a lot of trouble with the SYNC4 bluetooth streaming music.
Quite a few posts on the forums about troubles with SYNC4 BT too.
From what I read on a BT capable XM device instructions, BT for phones will not work with the XM BT-equipped units, need BT for music streaming - that's from XM, not me.
I found neither the Zune BT nor the iPod BT would work well with the SYNC4 BT in the Lightning.
Perhaps because my devices are old and use an older version of BT than the device you linked with a more recent version?
Why they don't make BT versions backwards compatible is a mystery.
FM radio hasn't changed in years so I reverted to using the old FM transmitter method.
I note that the linked device uses a battery with 13 hours life. That could be a pain even though it's a rechargeable battery. Rechargeable batteries have a limited number of recharges and eventually fail, although it could be a year later or more.
"Long Battery Life & Easy to Use: The airplane bluetooth transmitter receiver has a battery life of 12 hours in TX mode and can be charged quickly via USB-C port, making it perfect for long flights or travels. The Bluetooth transmitter receiver also features an indicator light to show pairing status, Bluetooth modes, battery status, and more."
The old FM transmitter I had plugs in to a cigarette lighter/accessory outlet for power as does the XM portable tuner (Roady). The FM transmitter connect via the Roady audio output jack.
No drop-outs with the FM tuner, but lots of wire to wrangle.
Newer ones, like the link below, use a battery so less cables - still need to power the XM device of course. There is also a wired one for less $ (links below).
