VIN number

Wave 2, build date of 10/24. I see member posting how to use Firefox or calling their dealers to get their VIN.

Talk to me like I'm 5. What advantages does would this give me? Can I see more about my scheduling online once I have it? Thanks.

Look out for it on or about 10/13, stickers appear 11 days prior to the assigned build week, be be cautious as your build week could change before then........

OP, Yes, it's worth getting the VIN, having it allows you to do more research on production and delivery of your truck.

The ORDERTRACK.APP frequently reports status updates a bit sooner than they appear on the FORD.COM site, not always but often.

The FORD.COM order page does not give you the specific SHIP date, but monitoring ORDERTRACK or SHOP sites [daily], will let you know when it transitioned to the new status, you will get a confirmation email, typically it's sent around 4-5 AM (ET) the morning after it's shipped.

It's just more information to ensure you're fully informed, some see the effort as over kill, others are clamoring for more details, YMMV.
