Amazing what FORD is capable of doing!
The F-150 is Fords pride and joy. According to this article Ford is capable of producing, on average, over the past three years, 103 F-series trucks per hour. I tend to believe Ford will increase production enough to keep us all happy, at least the first few that bothered to place a reservation within the first week. Why did Ford stop the reservation on Dec. 8? Maybe Ford is telling us, that the current reservation is in fact exceeding their planned production rates, due to some constraints, for the 2022 and 2023 model years?
Think positive people.

The new building that is doing final assembly of the Lightning is constrained to a maximum of 14 an hour. It will probably launch at around 10 to 12 an hour and slowly ramp up.

Heard they may build some 150L down Mexico way alongside Mach e is that true?
No. The truck will be exclusively produced at the Rouge. The current ICE Body plant will produce the cab and box, then it will be painted alongside the ICE trucks. Instead of going into the current ICE FInal building, it will instead go into the Rouge Electric Vehicle building for final assembly.

When the new plant in Tennessee comes online, that will be when you see higher production volumes.

At this point you have to be trolling.
They absolutely are. They do this in every thread they participate in. At this point you're better off just adding them to your ignore list and moving on, it's a waste of time.

there has been no numbers from Ford
In fairness to Ford, you do see the 15,000 first year production number in EVERY referenced article with the automotive media citing Ford sources, from "anonymous" to CEO Farley, sources that many in the automotive media have had for years and which have proved reliable.

The same "anonymous" MachE numbers proved accurate so preponderance of evidence points to the 15,000 +/- next year, 2022. 2023 would seem the year Ford could increase production. Which is what we see in the articles where it is stated Ford is "doubling 2023 production to 80,000".

"2022 Ford F-150 Lightning Production Will Be Limited In First Year On Market"

As article notes, Ford will likely be happy if it can get the 15,000 F150EV's in 2022 with the various supply issues.

Seems to be an issue for some, others who put down $1k in 2016 for a delivery in 2019, it's SOP for new model EV's.

While I agree that they stopped at 200k due to production limits, I think it is much more likely that it is their limit through 2025, not 2023.

I’m willing to suggest that Ford has options they’ve not made public. We’ll just have to wait and see. Still amazes me how a company is capable of averaging 100, F150’s per hour, over the last 3 years. A company like that is most likely to produce more 150L trucks than they are letting us believe.

The problem is the battery supply chain, the is what holds everything else up, and Ford doesn't have that supply chain built to the level need yet.

Maybe in the near term, but batteries are going to be limiting for years. At least until the new factories Ford is building in Kentucky and Tennessee come online, and likely even beyond that. I expect it will be into the 2030s before battery supply is plentiful.
