If the sensor harness is there then it's just buying the sensor (which is like $40) and plugging it in, and then activating it in forscan. You don't have to replace the blinker lever (at least I don't think you do) just put it into one of the intermittent wiping positions and it should work. I guess it's possible that there are major changes in the way the flash works, but I would think it would be the same. Only thing I'd check first is to make sure that the harness is the same and the connection is there, but that's an easy check.

Thank you for the information. I do not have access to forscan but I have had the dealer I buy from turn on some things I added in other vehicles. I will check with them and see if that’s still possible on the 2024 trucks. When I have time I will do a Sean’s see what the harness needs to look like. It’s a silly first world problem but I would pay a few hundred dollars to have the auto wipers back. lol. Thanks again for the information.

It's such an easy install you could do it yourself. Even buying the cable to connect to the car and the sensor you'd be in less than $100. You wouldn't need the paid version of forscan either, just do the trial for a bit and you'll be good.

I’m curious what your thoughts are for when you plan to trade or sell the truck?

Drive it till the wheels fall off?

Trade at 100k miles, when the warranty is done?

Trade in at 90k miles?

I’m just learning about the front end of buying/living with an EV, but I don’t know what folks are doing on the back end.

Is there “best time” to move onto another?

I’d rather not be buying a new vehicle every few years.

My plan was to trade the vehicle at eight years or 100,000 miles. That is if every time the computer programming gets messed up, it doesn’t cost me an arm and leg. I’m hoping that this will be part of the EB stuff that will be still covered under the eight year 100.
