I agree. I had a talk with a retired suspension engineer and he said that my Hankook tires were probably made special for Ford to hit their price point, rolling resistance, quietness etc. A tread redesign was probably required to hit the requirements.definitely don't look like these:

I think they look like crap. I have an expensive truck that says "FX4" on the side with tires that belong on the wife's suv. Shame on you Ford.
I wanted a better looking tire with good rolling resistance. I looked at Tire Rack and consumer reports and watched the TR video comparisons. (ya I'm a nerd)
and talked to my Engineer buddy.
I settled on the Continentals. 275.60.20
I would have gone to a 285.60 if it wasn't an E load tire.
I am happy with what I did. The tire is also seems a lil bigger than the Hankook. (Look at Tire Rack OD and revs per mile specs)
Note: I purchased dedicated wheels and snows for winter
