I installed the Fitcamx. 4K front cam + 1080 P rear cam. Works great. Was pretty easy to instal, only took about 20 min. Some say they have trouble with the loop recording, but I just logged into unit at startup and set things the way I wanted. I was trying to make it like my Garmin GPS drive 50, used that in my work car.
Thanks.

While not a can of foam, I rolled over a rubber mallet on the highway that had jumped out of a bed. I only saw it at the last momemnt (gray mallet, gray road). It bounced hard off the bash plates and went flying through the air behind me. Luckily I was alone on this stretch of road because that could kill someone if they had been behind me. It did continue into the shoulder so no concerns about someone else hitting it. I took a look for damage and didn't find anything in the wheel well or on the bash plates. Good design I guess, I could only imagine how awful it would have been if it had someone punched through and started a fire.
Wow, that’s good no one was hurt or your truck.
i had another accident, not my fault. I had my Garmin GPS recording everything. A jack wagon came ripping up behind me while I was in left lane of interstate getting ready to pass a semi. Looking back now, I think he was planning to just hit right lane and then left to pass me on the right side. This is illegal in iowa, bty. I don’t think he judged how close the semi was……… after the accident he told the officer I raced him and cut him off. I calmly explained to the officer I have the whole thing recorded on my GPS…………..The officer just smiled and asked the other guy if he wanted to amend his version of the events. No questions when you have living color.

I had the issue with the loop recording, it was the junk SD card they send with it (confirmed with their customer service) they sent me a new one and I've had no problems since. Highly recommend just ignore the card they send and get your own high quality card. Saves you the hassle of dealing with their customer service.

We all see road hazards and often have to drive over them. I assume the "bash plates" are the skid plates Ford had the good sense to install. I noted on that recent battery cooling video from Munro that they showed the "composite" bottom cover for the competitors battery.

I am glad there is a substantial steel plate under the Lightnings.
