WiFi hotspot slow

Platinum level with unlimited data through ATT. Hotspot is slow. Supposedly these vehicles have 4g LTE modem but on my vehicle hotspot screen it is showing 2g connection. Can’t find anywhere to change or improve this. Anyone have any input???

Do you typically have 4G with ATT in your area? I see you just have USA in your profile.

Honestly on my previous f150s I never noticed as the WiFi seemed fast so never went digging. On this one I have only seen a 2 g signal so far. On my phone I have 5G in my area with ATT.

I was using mine for the first time today, on vacation in Salt Lake City. It indicated 5E. It was handy to connect my laptop to the internet, but it seemed extremely slow. When I get back home I intend to run some speed tests on it.

Give ATT a call and they will reset the hotspot.
Mine is currently giving me only 2g and sometimes no internet at all. I think I’m going to have to take it to Ford. I’m in the Bay Area of California so I should have LTE coverage.

We don't have AT&T in our region, so the modem does nothing for us in NE Iowa. Good luck and hope you get a solution. Fredm2002

Having the same issue with my 2021 F150, Ive called att and they've rest things on their end twice and it will switch to 4g temporarily, once I turn the truck off and back on it switches back to 2g and the truck hasn't moved at all, so the signal strength should be the same. Just wondering if Ford has a fix?
