winter tires for 21 limited

I am looking for a set of 18 inch winter tires for my limited, decided to go with the 18 due to cost reasons. I do a lot of highway driving so looking for a good all around winter tire. From Ontario, Canada . Any recommendations

Not sure if they come in your size, but the Falken Wildpeak AT3W are awesome. I run them year round. More of an AT tire though.

Good for the highway quiet ride , ice, black ice and water and not too bad for deep snow but not an aggressive tread pattern for deep snow. These have been my winter tires on my trucks since 2010. Ontario here as well. And moving to 18 inch wheels I always found the ride better than on my 20’s. Need to get new ones for my 21 KR.

I have a set of 275R70/18 (I think, haven't seen them since last spring...lol) Goodyear Duratracks that I bought when I had a 2006 F 150, put around 15,000 kms (approx.) per winter on them for 6 years. Sold the 06 and bought a 2011 F 150 which they had another 15,000 kms (approx.) for 5 winters put on them. Will use them on my 2021. Tread is about 6/32nds from 13/32nds new last time they were check. A little noisy on the highway but great in snow and on ice. I also have a set of 2010 Ford F 150 rims that they are mounted on, so I change them over myself. I will have to change the TPM's to the new type and have the truck learn them. My dealer does that for free so just have to take the truck to them.

I'm in Ontario and also looking for winter tires. On my suv I normally ran the blizzak dmv2, they were a great tire. Not sure if I can go with those again having the max tow with Pirelli 10ply now. One shop has recommended Cooper Discoverer AT3 for the winter.

I bought Duratracs last year and also found them good in snow. We have a cabin at 9600 feet that gets a good amount of snow and has a steep driveway and never had any issues going up. The noise and stickiness of them definitely make them a compromise tire for summer, but they aren’t bad and I was happy with how they handled winter. I do keep tires in the back for emergencies, and while they are great they still aren’t as competent as the Blizzaks on our CR-V, though the difference is less than I would have expected.

I ran 17” Michelin x-ice xi2’s on my 4Runner for 8 years and they are fantastic tires. I ran my first set for 6 winters. Solid tread wear and great on the highway. I actually preferred them over my 20” Bridgestone Alenza plus Summer tires until I bought Michelin LTX Defenders for it this past spring.

Needless to say, I expected to be putting Michelin x-ice winter tires on the F150 unless I find a compelling reason to get the Blizzak DMV2’s (option B). I also expect to put 18” on the F150 instead of 20” (I have a Lariat). I don’t think 17” are an option?

I’m in Ontario as well, I have the Yokohama IceGuard GO75 and they are great. I’ve done the AT tire thing before and in my opinion there is still no comparison to true winter tires. I’m at the east end of the province so we get a fair bit of freezing rain and crap.

Wondering the same. Will likely be a Blizzak LT size for our F150. We have used Blizzak WS50 through WS80 over the years in our other vehicles and they have always performed well.

My experience with winter tires was with a set of used Blizzak WS-70 and Michelin XI3’s that were basically new. The Blizzaks were actually better in the snow and ice but on dry pavement and ride quality wasn’t near as good.
