Hey guys - just bought a lightning used and it's missing the 240v dongle for the mobile charger. It just has the 120V dongle.

Anyone selling just the NEMA 14-50 connector? I'm located in Ontario, Canada.

The Ford charger is a rebranded Webasto Go, so you might have some luck searching with that brand name. I did some quick googling, but was not successful. IMO that charger is trash anyway, though you likely won't have the heat issues in Ontario that I had in Arizona. Spend a little bit to get a Tesla Mobile Connector and an 80amp Tesla Tap (if you have an ER, for an SR just get the 40amp). Together those still cost less than a new charger from Ford, and having the Tesla adapter opens up any Tesla destination chargers or wall chargers to you.

If you got the dual voltage evse, I would check with the dealer. My lariat came with both adapters.

I would recommend you reach out to the manufacturer of the charger here: https://www.evsolutions.com/contact-us and let them know your situation. In good-will they might just ship you one, but hopefully they'll at least let you buy it.

You can buy the 32A version of the dongle from Webasto at the link below. The Lightning actually ships with a 30A version so that it can be plugged into the ProPower in the bed and used to charge another EV. The Lightning version is available from Ford with the Ford markup.

Thanks! But are you sure the Webasto adapters work with the Ford branded EVSE?

I know they are virtually identical, but I did read reports that other connectors aren't interchangeable between the two chargers:

I have no idea. I hadnโ€™t seen that thread on the MachE forum but I had seen a video where someone swapped the 30A and 32A Ford versions between a MachE and a Lightning unit and they worked. Iโ€™m not sure how or why Webasto would have made units that would only work with specific dongles but I guess itโ€™s possible. Maybe @tommolog has the parts needed to test it.

That thread in the MachE forum is testing a 14-30 pigtail, not a 14-50, it's possible this trash Ford charger just doesn't work with that lower amp connection. Check on the webasto store's return policy. Buy and test, return it if it doesn't work.
