Hi Everyone!

Here it is - me streaming YouTube in the Lightning using Android Auto. Lots of uses for this!
(All jokes aside though, please be responsible. I did this for fun, and you can hear in the background BlueCruise getting upset that it couldn't detect my eyes.)

Without further ado, this was the method I used to do so. Best of all, it's absolutely free!

1. Download & Install AAAD (Android Auto Apps Downloader)
2. Install CARSTREAM under the "Multimedia Apps" section
3. Enjoy!

Just as a side note, the free version lets you download 1 app every 30 days.

For 3.50 Euro's I think this app is well worth buying to unlock the full PRO version and support the creators!

What does the widget app do? Haven't tried it out yet, but I think AA does a good job making sure the main apps (that I use at least) are pretty accessible.

Someone else had asked me that as well.

My experience with iOS is limited to the first few generations of the iPhone, so I'm really not sure. However, an alternative could be to keep a burner android phone that you can connect whenever your kids are in the car and you need YouTube!

Widget app was a bust. It pulled up a list of my widgets available but once I pressed one it glitched out and closed. Tried it on phone first nothing. Tried it via android auto too nothing. Running sync 3 on a ford cmax phev

i tried two different credit cards both declined. im guessing beacuse it's in euros. i refuse to use my debt card. so ill have to wait until next month to try that mirroring app. streaming disney+ for the kids would be great

It's ok, I'm not sure it works anymore.

Got a new phone, the icons no longer show up on AA.

Confused.. So the car stream app is installed to your phone and then screamed to to screen? Or is carstream installed on the lightning screen?
