Corwin Ford in Springfield, MO confirmed no ADM. Doc fee seems steep to me, but if Ford offers x-plan they’ll honor it. Also confirmed the October 26th order date.

My reservation is at the same place. Thanks for information.Puente Hills Ford Internet Manager told me the $10-20K ADMs on their vehicles were for people who wanted them right now. If I didn't need a vehicle right now I could order any of them and they will sell them for MSRP in about six months when the vehicle comes in.
She said that my Lightning wouldn't have anything added to it...except for the $2K paint "treatment" every vehicle gets when it comes through their lot...she told me confidently and proudly.
That had me looking elsewhere but if she's being up front and that's the only "fee" they ding me with it might be a blessing in disguise. In any case, seems like Puente Hills can be added to the "No ADM" list.
I confirmed with Mahwah Ford: no ADM and yes Xplan if ford allows. You absolutely should confirm as there is no guarantee they are going offer the same deals on the Lightning.
But you are going to pay $2000 over MSRP for a dealer added option ?Puente Hills Ford Internet Manager told me the $10-20K ADMs on their vehicles were for people who wanted them right now. She said all their vehicles get the treatment--non-negotiable. And no, I don't want to pay a penny over MSPR (don't even want to pay MSRP, to be blunt about it, but here we are) but if I don't have any options between that and paying $10K+ just for the "privilege" of being early in line I definitely don't want that. But you are going to pay $2000 over MSRP for a dealer added option ?
What if you don't want that "option"?
I can't stand dealers that add stuff onto a perfectly good vehicle and make tons of money - like all the car dealers I dealt with recently who charged $500 for an alarm add on (vehicle has it's own security), $1000 tracking locater (vehicle has GPS tracking), $300 door guards & door handle plastics (Amazon sells it for $10).
I work near Puente Hills Ford and have known they do this so I have opted to put my reservation with Ken Grody Ford in OC - it's further away, but they don't add a penny to the MSRP.
Plus, it's where our organization buys all our fleet vehicles from (state government exempt white fleet).
if you are ordering the vehicle it is yours and not theirs. Tell them when they do the PDI not to add any on itShe said all their vehicles get the treatment--non-negotiable. I'll look into changing my order to Grody then. The real question I have is what qualifies as a fleet order. Could my small business order just one Pro w/ extended range? I believe we have a fleet account, but haven't ever ordered anything through it, and I put my reservation in via a personal account anyway so it might not even matter.
Ken Grody considers my single Lightning reservation as a personal order and they won't add a penny on top of the MSRP.She said all their vehicles get the treatment--non-negotiable. 100% correct - if you are ordering from Ford directly and arranging financing thru Ford, the dealer is merely getting credit (profit) for not doing anything except a PDI.if you are ordering the vehicle it is yours and not theirs. Tell them when they do the PDI not to add any on it
Yes, she specifically said *all* vehicles sold through their dealership have the paint treatment applied to them. She distinguished this from the ADM that was on lot vehicles but would not be on any ordered vehicles (not just the Lightning--any of their vehicles).Ken Grody considers my single Lightning reservation as a personal order and they won't add a penny on top of the MSRP.
Can you check and see if Puente Hills adds on the treatment for online ordered / non inventory vehicles ?
Because the Lightning is not a dealer stocked car (at least initially) - all will be ordered specifically for a reservation - they would not need to do any treatments as they would not even have to pay a penny for the bank loan to hold it on their lot.
Since the dealer does not pay for the truck like a lot stocked car, they would have no reason to add a paint treatment (which is BS)...
I suggest you look for another dealer and let Puente Hills Ford know why you are changing your order. Like I said before, when you place your order go to the dealer and sign the order form specifically saying no other add-ons, have the sales manager and custom order person sign it. Track your Lightning all the way to the dealer and show up the day it shows up on the dealer and sign all your paperwork. Try Fritts Ford, Encinitas Ford, Galpin Ford. Puente Hills can go kick rocks with their $2k car wash.Yes, she specifically said *all* vehicles sold through their dealership have the paint treatment applied to them. Not to put too fine a point on it, but how many people responding to my post have ordered from a dealership this year? I did, from VW for the ID.4 before turning around and selling it (for more than I paid) two months later, and the vehicles are not "ours."
They aren't ours until we sign the final paperwork, which I'm sure people think is an obvious statement. The real issue is that this is a reservation to purchase the vehicle from the dealership and isn't a pre-order or something like that. The dealership isn't simply passing the vehicle through to consumers--Ford Motor Company can't sell vehicles to consumers. This is all due to the weird ropes dealerships have manufacturers up against. If you don't want to pay want to pay the dealership what they offer you, you're "free" to walk away. VW loved when customers did this because then they were free to slap any ADM on the sticker whereas VWoA was pressuring them to stick to MSRP...but that's all they could do--politely/strongly request the dealership to play ball.
What form are you referring to? I made my reservation online. I'll take this form into Puente Hills and see who would be willing to sign it but I don't have any reason to stay with them anyway. That's just what came up with my ZIP code. I had not stepped onto a domestic dealership in over twenty years before last week.Like I said before, when you place your order go to the dealer and sign the order form specifically saying no other add-ons, have the sales manager and custom order person sign it.
George Wall Ford Lincoln in Red Bank NJ with HIGH ADM! I will never visit that dealer ever.
This one, both you and the dealer reps signed on the bottom to get your order in along with your deposit. This is part of the order form, the top half will have your options, order number, dealer name etc. Of course you can do everything online, the problem is they can pull a fast one on you just to sell it to the another customer who's way down the list and has said he will pay ADM or for any dealer crap they throw on there. What form are you referring to?
