Mine are easy, just hook it at the narrow part.

I like that idea. It's not super hard but it's not easy either. The one that's a bit of a PITA is the safety wire for the breakaway controller.

Just use a small carabiner clip for the safety wire

I think it's a restrictive area.... certainly not wide open /easy, but I got used to it so it's not terrible the few times a year I do it. I thought maybe my trailer hooks were small, glad to know it's not just me. I'd be interested in Those hooks but not if they make a bunch of noise

The 2021 is on a different angle than the older models, my 2018 was a PITA to hook, the 21 is much easier

I used the standard Shackles, Galvanized. Put a Piece of hose over the pin (middle part) to keep them from Rattling around . works well. Much easier for tow hook on larger trailers
