HTownHog Thanks for your insight. My Reservation # 10856913 . Any thoughts on where I possibly sit.
uh.......not great I would guess. Again the reservation numbers and timestamps previously discussed on this forum have us all believe they started somewhere around 10810000 so that will put you right about 50,000 on the reservation list. My assumption would be to get a MY22 you would need to priority bump unless your dealer can get a high allocation volume. Maybe ask them how many F150's they sell a year roughly and how many MachE allocations they got. That may help you judge getting it early vs MY23.

Having only 14 reservations makes me guess they aren't a volume dealer

This is Official
Believe what corporate tells their Dealers everytime
Instead of how they will now try to spin this now that it is leaked
It’s a leak. When a Ford representative makes a public statement it will be official. Doesn’t matter if it’s the exact same information. Has nothing to do with what I believe.

Not really. The message wasn't a leak. It was an official Ford communication sent intentionally directly to dealers. That's as official as it gets. Just because it was leaked to YOU, doesn't mean the message itself was a leak.

So should we update the list of dealers with "no ADM" and "discount plans" to have a column that for "Commits to No Priority Bumps Ahead of Reservation Holders"? It's a stretch but maybe it would help keep dealers honest for current or future reservation holders.

problem is we don't know if you switch dealers today does that put you at the end of that dealer's reservation list or do you slot into the position based on their Ford reservation number? If the first then knowing your current dealer might take priority selection doesn't gain you anything as you aren't switching to another dealer to go to the end of their selection list. You might try and convince your dealer to move up but that takes relationships or $$$. If the second option then it might help knowing if they take priority or not but you would still have to understand where your reservation might slot to the new dealer before you move it. It might have been helpful in the beginning but not this late in the game.

I emailed my sales guy with a copy of the priority language. I reminded him I had bought last my two trucks there so hopefully I would be considered a loyal customer per the loyalty/priority language. I got a call from him this morning that indeed they had seen the memo and he talked to the General Sales Manager and they would put me on the list. No idea if he really will but it doesn't hurt to ask! I'm a day 1 reservation holder so hopefully helps regardless.

it has holes when looking at the really low reservation numbers and Ford isn't saying anything on the number vs time stamp submission but a lower number has shown to be more common for early reservations than later.

Go to your account on Ford.com and your reservations/orders tab. post your reservation number here and we can surmise roughly where you are on the 200,000 list. I reserved toward the end of day one presentations and received 10826299, lowest reported around here was in the 1081XXXXX range I believe.

You have two things to manage with actually getting your truck. First is your reservation number as that will trigger Ford sending you a wave start notification. Next problem will be your dealer allocation. If they only get 10 trucks allocated for 2022 and you are 10 out of 14 then you get toward the end of the order timeline (probably means the other 9 were day 1 or before you day 2). If they only get 5 allocated then you are SOL, best bet is to discuss with your sales rep and the managers to use a priority pass due to your previous purchase and loyalty showing you deserve a bump in the line.

Alternative is moving your reservation to a bigger dealer that you can convince to use a priority pass and get you in the top 5/10/25 of their list.
I'm reservation 10834707 and reserved in the first 4 hours. Doesn't make sense that I would be the 24707 reservation.

RETAIL CUSTOMER DEALER PRIORITIZATION PROCESS

  • Each dealer will have the ability to prioritize a small number of loyal customers who are reservation holders.
  • Dealers should utilize https://cni.dealerconnection.combetween December 8th to 17th in order to complete the prioritization process.
    • Deadline: Friday, December 17th at 11:59:59 PM Eastern (No exceptions)
    • Number of customer prioritizations allowed is based on reservation volume at each
specific dealership as of December 1st
    • Dealers with <50 Reservations = 5 prioritizations available, 50-100 Reservations = 10
      prioritizations available, & >100 Reservations = 25 prioritizations available
  • Prioritization does not guarantee allocation. Dealer prioritization will be an input to
determine invitations to convert to an order, it is not correlated to vehicle scheduling timing or
amount of allocation at each dealership.
  • See F-150 Lightning Preparing For Order Bank Opening Playbook for step-by-step guide on
how to prioritize select reservation holders.

RETAIL CUSTOMER WAVE INVITATION OVERVIEW
  • Ford is implementing a unique retail “reservation to order” process for F-150 Lightning to help efficiently convert existing reservations to orders. Our goal is to communicate information when available to help customers make informed decisions.
  • Prior to order bank opening, all reservation holders will receive an email confirming their reservation, outlining the wave order process to begin in January 2022 and explaining that due to high demand, not all reservation holders will be receiving a 22MY invitation.
  • At various stages in the process, reservation holders will be given the option to maintain their reservation for future model years. Regardless, reservations may be cancelled at any time with a full refund.
  • Ford will begin inviting reservation holders to place orders in waves starting at order bank open in January 2022. Subsequent waves will receive an invitation in approximate two-week intervals until 22MY production capacity is fulfilled.
  • Customer wave invitations will be based on a number of factors including reservation timing, Dealer estimated allocation & Dealer prioritization.
  • Prior to each wave invitation, the Ford.com online configurator will be updated to provide directional ETA’s of vehicle delivery timing based on the availability of each configuration.
• As certain configurations become unavailable due to demand, the configurator will be updated to remove the ordering capability of that configuration.
  • For customers invited to submit a 22MY order who find that their desired configuration is unavailable, the customer can either elect to maintain their reservation for a subsequent model year, work with their dealer to modify their order for a different configuration or cancel their reservation for a full refund – again, at any time. (Note: Future model year pricing will be provided when available)
  • Dealers will receive the list of their reservation holders invited for that wave prior to invitations being sent for each wave.
• A dealer can look up any customer via the F-150 Lightning Reservation to Order Program site to confirm whether their customer has received an invitation within a specific wave.
  • Once 22MY production capacity is met, all remaining reservation holders will be notified that their next ordering opportunity will be for a subsequent model year. Again, they will be reminded of the option to hold their reservation or cancel for a full refund at any time.
  • Fleet orders follow a separate process; fleet orders being submitted at order bank open do not have an impact on the retail customer waved invitations or dealer prioritization.

RETAIL CUSTOMER RESERVATION TO ORDER PROCESS
• F-150 Lightning will leverage both online & offline reservation to order conversion based on retail customer preference
  • All retail customers will need an invitation to convert their reservation to order to place an order
  • ONLY orders that are converted (either online or offline) will be selected for production scheduling
    • Order Amendments should be made in WBDO
    • CONCEPS orders & amendments will not be accepted (will result in compatibility
      errors)
  • See F-150 Lightning Preparing For Order Bank Opening Playbook for complete details

FLEET CUSTOMER ORDERING PROCESS
  • As part of the reveal of the F-150 Lightning, Ford has been collecting registration interest at http://www.fleet.ford.com from fleet hand raisers. Also, Dealers have been able to submit fleet registration interest on behalf of their customers through this same website.
  • Starting January 2022, the Fleet Order Bank will open for 22MY F-150 Lightning. At that time, notifications will be sent to fleet hand raisers via e-mail urging them to contact their preferred dealership to place their orders. In addition, please reach out to your interested fleet customers and submit their orders into the fleet order bank when ordering begins.
  • Once the order bank opens any registration interest should be converted to an order in CONCEPS or Fleet-WBDO. This would include fleet customers who have been working with your dealership and any fleet customer that directly contacts your dealership going forward.
  • Due to the overwhelming demand for the F-150 Lightning, not all fleet orders will be able to be produced as 22MY units. Please set expectations with your customers accordingly.
  • Entering an order into the fleet order bank does not guarantee that it will be produced as a 22MY.
  • F-150 Lightning. When it comes time to schedule fleet orders, additional criteria beyond when the order was placed into the order bank will be used to determine when the vehicle will be built.
  • Any non-fleet order types, or non-FIN code orders will not be scheduled, and dealers will risk losing retail allocation on F-150 Lightning if these types of orders are entered into the fleet order bank.

DEALER PRICING
Review your Dealer Pricing in Vehicle Locator Plus for 22MY F-150 Lightning
  • Access the Vehicle Locator Plus at https://www.vlplus.dealerconnection.com

    1. Default to MSRP if no pricing is set by dealer (No action required)
    2. Price all F-150’s at same level (Includes F-150 Lightning)
    3. Set specific F-150 Lightning pricing by:

      • â–Ş Select & set pricing by battery if desired (Standard-Range Battery,
        Extended-Range Battery)
  • See F-150 Lightning Preparing For Order Bank Opening Playbook for further guidance
  • Contact Vehicle Locate Plus at [email protected] for assistance

I ordered my Lightning 3 minutes after the reservation banks open earlier this year so I know I'm high on the list. My dealer manager just gave me great news also. He told me that I'm #1 out of the 197 reservations he has at the dealer and he promised me that he will not bump anymore else above me. He said that I will be the first Lightning to be delivered at this dealer. I'm super stoked because I should be one of the first to get it based on that and my timestamp.

I'm reservation# 10813166 and I ordered 3 minutes after the reservation banks opened. My guess is that the first numbers were 1081300 or very course to that.

Well, my dealer (Hoffman Ford in CT) claims that I am #6 out of 83 and that I won't be bumped. Just crossing my fingers this is true. I'll be honest I'm surprised I'm only #6, with my order I thought I'd be higher but oh well.

We are dealing with the height of luxury here folks - eagerly anticipating buying new technology at the peak of man's historical evolution. 100 years ago folks did not have toilet paper and most houses were not electrified.
But whining on a forum is a great way to spend a Friday... maybe? That's why I came.

We just bought a small house built in 1890 and I was crawling around the attic following the knob and tube (I've got to clean this garbage up before I run the 220 for the charger) and realized it had been installed in two "waves" (Ford speak?). The first just powered two light fixtures, the second added outlets. Huh? I'm guessing wave 1 was the first model year when there weren't any electric appliances, so who needed outlets? I'd bet the suddenly domesticated mountain man that built the place was bitchin' at the local tavern waiting for the light bulbs he'd reserved to come in, though.
