Hmm, I didn't get the email. I have two reservations, each under a different email address (one Gmail, one Microsoft) so doubt both were filtered by spam. I have gotten the other emails. I went online to both Ford accounts and it showed I still have both reservations. I'm in the US. Anybody else not get the email?

Also, my son DID get the email. But he didn't reserve a Lightning, he has an order in for a Mach-E. Weird.
I didn't get the email either, but my reservation is intact and has been recognized by my dealer.

My understanding is that the Pro is rated for 5,000 pounds and the max tow package adds cooling to increase the max to 7,700 pounds.

I believe the tow assist package is the best way to get a 360 camera added to the Pro...but I could be wrong.
It would probably be best to get the max tow even if you aren't going to use it. The additional cooling capacity will be better for the battery and motor in the long run.

No. It’s just the basic LKA. But to be honest CoPilot369 and Active 2.0 are good enough
I was talking to my husband about this. I have LKA, lane follow, and adaptive cruise control on my new Hyundai. He drove it to work (a two hr commute) and said he had a very hard time not dozing off b/c it didn't require enough attention from him. So the ability of the Lightning to monitor your eyes and alert you if you aren't paying attention to the road is going to be a huge safety factor for us. And that will only come with the Lariat, which is a bummer.

Ford will not do anything except tell you to change dealers . Now is the time to be finding one that sells at MSRP and puts it in writing .
My dealer already told me to expect a markup. They just haven’t decided how much. Ford Corporate has the power to fix this, like GM did with Cadillacs by allowing customers to order direct and have the dealer handle the delivery.

GM is actually trying to buy out their dealerships entirely. Smart move.

Yes!!! That is why I’m pushed to the Lariat. I need that safety. I really want to know though, if it will slowly stop you(depending on traffic) and pull over like a Tesla, or if it just kicks the controls back to you - which would be super dangerous!

watching some early Mach E active assist and it was scary because it would just turn off if there wasn’t any steering wheel resistance. If that happens on a curve - bye…

My Mach-e has Ford’s Co-Pilot360 features and I must say that although it does require you to keep your hands on the wheel and a bit of resistance, it does seem to have potential when it counts most, avoiding an accident.

While it does seem odd that it cancels the lane assist when you don’t give it some resistance, I can say that it doesn’t turn off everything because some of the safety features are always on by default.

For example, about a month ago, as I was driving in the middle lane of a regular street, the car on my left was t-boned by another car pushing him into my lane. Before I even knew what happened, my Mach-e hit the accelerator and turned the wheel hard to the right placing me in a shoulder about 100 feet from the collision.

I didn’t have any of the cruise control features turned on. It just took over. My car still took a small hit near the wheel well, but it would’ve been a lot worse if the system didn’t take control.

That is really impressive.

The Navy and others (Google) testing automated driving features have found that it is truly an all-or-nothing deal - that even pilots and drivers who know they are being actively monitored cannot maintain full situational awareness, no matter how much they try, when the advanced autopilot or driver assist features are enabled. The Navy and Air Force, as a result of those studies, have eliminated some features for safety reasons. My son is one of those pilots.

Some are concluding that with respect to automated driving, half-steps are dangerous - we either go to Level 5 or nothing. I enjoy autopilot in my Tesla, but also see it as a drunk teenager - probably should never have been released for general public use.

Autopilot is just Cruise Control with LKA which in my Tesla Works to perfection. Are you talking about the FSD?

I agree with all of that, and it's why we will upgrade to get the full self drive, and the "eyes on road" warning sensor.

As long as there are no real new facts out there.....

My guesses are as good as anyone's...

My guess is that Ford will email dealers Friday, New Year's Eve with their First Wave Invitee List. This needed to be done during the week allowing dealers to take the weekend calling Invitees. Dealers will have the only access to Pricing Tools forcing customers into their show rooms to pre-order before the official Order Day.

My guess is that Ford will email Invitees/Reservation Holders early on Monday with all being told they can Price on their Ford Account Webpage. Orders then could be submitted beginning on Wednesday, January 5th.

Coincidentally, Chevy is holding an Online Only (CES22 Appearance by Mary Barr Canceled) Unveiling of the 2023 Silverado EV. Their Reservation Website will open at 1:00 pm EST.

Perhaps they think many of the existing 200,000+ Ford Reservists might visit the Chevy site on that day if Ford did not give them something to keep them occupied? No! Ford would never try to One-Up GM on their biggest news of the New Year!

I am not Nostradamus. Just having a little fun! Happy New Year Forum!

Hi everyone, I join the group for the latest information I can get and share my Ford experiences. I talked to my salesman a few months ago and he said he is supposed to hear something in January to order a Lightning for me. He didn't take the $100 or any reservation because I've bought and ordered many Fords from him and the dealership over 40yrs. He is the top salesman and has always come through before but this vehicle is real special to me. I had a '85 F-150 and new' STX 4x4 Ranger but most have been Ford SUV's and rare Mustangs. The Lightning will most likely be my last Ford so I hope to get a Platinum for my last vehicle. I'm getting estimates from Sunrun and Sunpro for a new solar system with the 80amp charger/emergency power supply Ford will be providing if I order. I have a 200amp service now but the FP&L meter will be replaced with a net meter to give back power from the HV F-150 battery or solar system. I have an appointment Jan 3rd with Sunpro but Sunrun may have new information and a better idea of installing the Ford system and operation. I still have a '15 C Max plug-in and a 40amp charger in my garage but I'm ready to go all electric with the Lightning if I can. It's interesting to hear about everyone trying to get the Lightning because I've ordered the first new '05 FEH, '09 FEH, '13 C Max Energi and still have the '15 Energi and a '17 Explorer Limited. I'm a Ford man like my dad.

If you didn’t reserve how are you suppose to get an invitation from Ford to order? Unless you are getting one from dealer stock, which we have heard nothing about yet.

Tesla's Autopilot is far from perfect, and he's not.

While Tesla should be applauded for being the best at autosteer, it's still has a lot of improving to do. I've experienced countless times where my car would slam on the brakes for no reason at all, and it loses its position in lane during tight turns, intersections, and get confused when next to an offramp lane.

That being said, it still does all those things better than any other maker out there.
