Pre Approval Certificate...

This is new overnight...had a reservation in a minute before the presentation started back in the day. There's a pop open window that is blank when clicked on, but, more than likely it means nothing, only Ford knows. I don't trust there site much,my wife's Bronco order still shows "Ordering with dealer," when we've had it 2 months already...

I also now see a 'Pre-Approval Certificate' and when I click on it, it shows me that I'm pre-approved for financing up to a certain amount.

The interesting thing is that it says 'CONGRATULATIONS! Your order for the electrifying has been submitted.'

So this is specific to the Lightning, I assume, and it says my ORDER has been submitted. I clearly have NOT ordered, but maybe this is a sign of good things to come (tomorrow??).

I see the same pre-approval certificate link. Clicking it just goes to a blank box as well. Pretty sure I'm not wave 1.

Maybe Ford just trying to get that money by telling people to just finance with them ahead of time. But, a little bit if hope, sitting #1 with my dealer, we'll all find out tomorrow...

I suspect it is what it says: a pre-screen offer. I have told the three credit bureaus to lock my report and I do not want pre-screen offers so I no longer get the annoying credit card offers in the mail and I suspect that is why mine is blank. When you click on View for your reservation does it shows you ordered or just Step 1 Reservation? Good luck though, keep us posted!

I have this too, and it says I'm preapproved for $40,000. That would not buy much Lightning. Specific to me, it's obviously not what they'd really approve, since I just financed my pb a couple months ago through Ford Credit for more than that. I would treat these numbers as Ford marketing lubing folks up to buy a Lightning. haha

My Pre-Approval Certificate link was on my reservation page this morning, and is now gone. Perhaps they jumped the gun, and took it away.

At the end in fine print, it mentions calling my dealer for more details by 12/31/2021, and the truck it shows is clearly an ICE version. So I think this is just a boilerplate mock-up that will be updated soon-ish.

I had the preapproval also this morning but it's now gone.

The text on the offer said they sent email, with the address. I never did receive an email. So as somebody already said they jumped the gun.

Yeah, it definitely said it was a pre-screen offer, but there was no way to accept the offer is what I mean. So because of that, it wasn't really an offer, but more likely just boilerplate for now.
