Lightning Build & Price for Canada?

Canada ZEV update - does any current electric suv/pickup qualify? will the 2023 lightning XLT remain under $70,000 cad? will the PRO be available for under $60,000? what a waste...

To be eligible:

• A car must have a base model Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price that is less than $55,000. Higher priced versions of these vehicles, up to a maximum Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price of $65,000, are also eligible.
• Larger zero-emission vehicles (e.g., sports utility vehicles, minivans and pick-up trucks) must have a base model Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price under $60,000. Higher priced versions of these vehicles, up to a maximum of $70,000, are also eligible.

It really does appear that most of the Money is going to build out EV infrastructure and not to increasing EV rebates.

what's the point of offering a rebate if it can't be used? not sure about other provinces but BC $3000 rebate also doesn't qualify as it has a maximum price threshold of $55,000.

The Silverado EV WT will start at $54k so it should qualify.

It’s not going to change any decisions for me either.

The Ontario election appears to be getting more competitive so maybe something will happen there.

Not that the Liberals will win in Ontario, but even if they did their proposed incentive for EVs is capped at $65k so the Lightning is out. I haven’t seen the NDP’s cap published anywhere but they also exclude “luxury” EVs.

"Ford Charge Station Pro Early Delivery Program". Received this from my dealer yesterday.
Nice to have the option do get it installed and ready before the truck is delivered.

Ordered mine up as well. I will be trying out the online installation quote as well.

I'm excited to see what the charger and the install instructions look like. I have to do a temporary installation until my garage is built in the fall. I'll likely be derating the charger to 30a for now. It's not a big deal though since I will only really be driving the truck on weekends.

My dealer is still saying that even though they have 12 allocations, they still don't even have 1 truck scheduled.
Either something is fishy or Ford is saving almost all the Canadian orders for later...

There are a handful of builds happening each week now for Canadian orders. My blend date was today.
