I think by the time I got my Wave 1 order in, it was 21 or 22 weeks? Which puts me at a week or two from now. Mine gets blended next Friday.

I guess what I am saying is, without all the added micro levels of tracking, if Ford told you 20 weeks and you could never get an update online in between then, I don't think anyone would be panicking right now (week 20) that they didn't have their vehicle. Estimate of 20 weeks you figure +/- a week or two.

The only reason it feels like they're off schedule so egregiously is because we can see every single step update.
It was also an estimate of 20+ weeks. so anywhere from 20 weeks to infinity weeks.

Keep in mind that the only reason it seems like Ford isn't delivering on their promises is because we're all hyperactively monitoring our trackers and data. Ford said first deliveries in Spring, it's still spring. I've never ordered a car direct before but I would think even 3 years ago we wouldn't have near this much visibility. It's the double edged sword; better transparency, but now they look like they're behind schedule (perhaps justly, perhaps not)
I guess my expectations of delivery after the vehicle was built were too high based off my experience with the ICE equivalent during the Pandemic. Fords visibility has for the most part always been the same, the tracker is slow to update but the VR from the dealer is pretty accurate. A lot of us here haven’t had a VR updated since blend date or since it went “off site”. It probably would have helped if this was my first order with Ford, then my expectations would be pretty low.

Knowing your vehicle is built and not being shipped is the problem, if it was scheduled and waiting to be built is a different story.

For those of us who have ordered vehicles from ford prior, the delay in shipment from time off the line is noticeable. secondly it seems More likely than not if someone not even part of the groups took Delivery we would see something - the internet disperses info like lightning.

my last order came off the line(Kansas City) the first week of December and I had it (Baltimore)before end of year.

each Of our situations are different. Some people really need a new vehicle. Others have other trucks to drive. In my case I’d like to sell my truck, as the economy slips a little that can bring demand down a bit, I put more miles on it too.

I’m told checking the tracker more frequently doesn’t make it change phases any faster. Bummer. 🤷🏼‍♂️ 🤦‍♂️

If this was Fords first rodeo it would be understandable, but they just went through this with the Bronco, Maverick and F-150 which arguably have had a lot more orders than the measly 15k Lightning. You would think they would have figured out logistics by now, which leads to the conclusion that something is missing whether it’s a chip, software or safety item. Not knowing why trucks aren’t being delivered is a bit frustrating.

But the good news is that it looks like this week some of the December orders have started on their journey.

I feel like I'm slacking in checking order status. I will update my frequency to try and help move the process along.

I find the direct query more reliable, but occasionally it fails too.

Not too worried about it, I see the window sticker everyday through 3rd party sites lol, I was just answering the other posters question.

BTW, have you noticed any change at the top of the window sticker for those who had theirs shipped??

That’s what I am curious about. My window sticker only has the R above Ramp and nothing else. I was reading on Reddit that one of the members truck was built on the 12th according to his dealer but the blend date in his WS is the 27th. The Blend Date on the WS is indeed the 27th but that bar up too is completely filled out as it should be. Members here in the 5/9 build group also have that bar filled appropriately. What gives?

Any other California bound trucks o my have that R in that area?

Those come and go, I do not understand why yet, but will figure it out at some point while we watch the 18 trucks that appear to be on the verge and in one case have actually shipped and landed at a dealership!!!!

I should have kept my ICE Truck and just bought a used EV to be honest lol……

But I wanted to mash them together for a win win.

As far as what’s equivalent? An STX ICE and used EV. My timeline was always June at the latest. Canceled a Mach-E GT once I was invited to order(wasn’t expecting an invite until next year). Anyways, we’ll see what happens. I’m just done with the lack of updates from Ford, even the dealer hasn’t received an Update on the VR since May 12th smh
I was dumb as well. I sold my ICE truck back in September because I knew I was getting a lightning. I didn't factor in that it would actually take this long. So I've been sharing my kids Kia Forte in the meantime. That really sucks driving that car.
