I haven't asked anyone but when you get a deny does the app send you a notification or do you just see it the next time you open the app?

I tried activating mine about 9 am this morning and it's still showing pending.

I debated for the last week or so since the activation screen popped up, since it's technically not mine yet, but curiosity got the better of me!

You get a “Sorry, Lightning 's activation process was denied by the primary user and you do not have access to its FordPass features. If you believe this was an error, please re-initiate authorization process to gain access to the vehicle”.

Mine says "Activating vehicle - Vehicle activation may take up to 90 seconds" there is a spinning circle showing progress. After about 90 seconds it shows a screen that says "Activation Error".

I’m not certain but I believe that the 90 second timeout error happens when your Lightning vehicle computers are sleeping. E.g. to request activation you need to find a window where the vehicle is in operation or has recently been in operation and the computers have not gone into hibernation. Then if/when you get the step for “activation pending “. That request is in the truck waiting for the next time the truck is turned on. Then you have to get lucky that the person operating it says yes. But even if they say no you know something was happening with your truck.

Thanks for the insight, I will have to keep trying and see if I get an activating pending.

Someone just activated mine. This was right before the vehicle has been moved. They drove it 3 miles to here

From the satellite view, looks like a parking lot for Ford vehicles. Might be the lot where they load them to ship it. I am guessing the ones that got the deny also had their vehicles moved perhaps to this same parking lot

My truck just moved from a parking lot outside the HQ building back to the proving grounds. Hopefully all this movement is good and not them just making space.
