Does anyone know why my truck capped the power output to 64%? This happened while driving normally (60 mph, flat roads, 89 degrees).

Had you recently fast charger? That will heat up the battery and limit power until it cools back down.

Do you have max tow?

Battery temp looks good on the gauge though.

I had charged it on my level 2 charger for less than an hour. I do not have max tow.

Could have been a software fluke, or could have been protecting the battery from heat. Without more data I can't really say. Restrictions like that happen all the time in our Mach-e GT

Unless you can reproduce it, I would write it off as a fluke. Truck probably got confused.

Did it go away?

Did you try turning the truck off and on again? Not a great solution for a TRUCK, but may help with the troubleshooting.

You get power restrictions from charging on L2?

Not from L2 specifically, but I'd it is too hot, or too cold, or the battery charge is too low (starts at 70%), or you are driving too fast (over 65) or the moon is blue on a Tuesday. GT is very sensitive.

I tried turning it off an and immediately back on. That didn’t help.

After letting it sit for a few hours, it went away.

Recently had the same issue and same percentage. No fast charging and wasn’t even post-charge, was after coming back to the truck from the store. Went away the next day and hasn’t come back since so I wrote it off unless it showed again.

Thanks. Hopefully, the Lightning, especially with Max Tow, is less sensitive.
