On the way to breakfast this morning ...... I laughed at the gas station as I drove by........!
Ford pass configured to charge & go functionality with in network stations, I have a DCFC (Charge-Point & EV-GO) 2 blocks from my house, that will suffice until FCSP is here and installed.

Yeah, I went to Costco yesterday….smiled as I drove past the gas pumps. Then, while loading groceries into the Frunk, a guy came around from the back side of my truck asking if I was having any problems….as he got to the front and saw what I was doing, his eyes got as big as saucers and his jaw dropped….it was priceless🤣

Oh, and there was just a knock at the door…FedEx driver…look what arrived 3 days early from SunRun/Ford…good thing I just happened to be home😎….signature required……

I know that feeling too well - don't know what to do with my fleet fuel cards...

Congrats on yours finally showing up.

We appreciate all that you did for us and hope you will stick around.

Well, I just became the proud soon-to-be owner of a UnitedRoad "Load Child"! The kid should be at the dealer on Monday.

If you see this, it means that you have a date with the convoy truck for the final leg of the journey. It is the staus that follows 'Order Type Individual'.

Thanks again to @TaxmanHog for all the hard work you've done!

How did you find this? Is order track showing enroute?

OVISS goes from 'Inactive' to 'Pending Pickup' to 'In Route' (their spelling) in the upper left. 'Inactive' is from the time VIN is entered into OVISS until it is off the rail car, 'Pending Pickup' until the convoy truck leaves the facility to be 'In Route' to the delaer. Revealed by clicking the caret at the upper right are three statuses of 'Order Type'–'Individual', 'Load Child', and 'Delivered.'

If you track the rail car while the convoy tracker is in Inactive status and keep up with activation requests in Ford Pass, you can get a feel for what is going on when the truck is unloaded from the rail car.

Thanks for all the support & appreciation comments in this and many threads, I'll be hanging around through the end of deliveries for MY2022 and more then likely still hanging around just to read & share experiences as a newbie EV driver.

Last night I did my first Electrify American charging session, free KWH's from Ford Pass. On the way home from the clubhouse, I stopped in Wrentham Village outlets (Mass) to use services, it was midnight, quiet mall parking lot on a balmy summers eve....

I was at 39% SOC which is perfect for a simulation of how I might be when hauling on a race trip, though last night I did not haul. I wanted to know how long it would take to get to 80% & then wanted to see how slow is slow after 80%.

The plug and charge session worked flawlessly, no hitches or technical glitches 32 cents a minute.
Within a couple minutes the 150 KW charger ramped up to 148 KW and held that pace for 10 minutes, then it slowed to 147 KW, by this time my SOC jumped 20 points to 59%!!

Ford F-150 Lightning ✅ 6/6 Lightning Build Week Group 1659799376421

At 15 min the pace slowed to 125 KW SOC 66%, then at 20 min the pace was 102 KW now 72%

At 25 min the pace slowed to 72 KW SOC 78%, then at 30 min the pace was 57 KW now 81%

Of course this would be the point to stop, but I continued just to validate in my mind the slower paced charge rate. At 35 min the pace slowed to 39 KW SOC 84%, then at 40 min the pace was 27 KW now 86%

At 45 min the pace slowed to 20 KW SOC 88%, close enough to my 90% goal but the pace was painfully slow at that point so I ended the charge session after 45 minutes $14.40 later (free but gives me perspective on what it will cost in the future.

67 KWH consumed, SOC raised to 88% an increase of 49 points or ~ 64 KWH, imputed charging losses ~3 KWH shows this session had around 5% overhead losses, with 95% of consumed energy stored on the pack.

This is what I would need for next leg of my race trip which is about 35 more miles to the track, spend the day racing, use some 120v inverter power for pit operations, then 35 miles again back to my charging location after the race day is done. Where I would evaluate how much more energy I'd need to buy from EA to get me home at a low but safe SOC, where I could slowly recharge to 90% for normal domestic trips the rest of the week. Typically I'm home from the race day by 1900 hours, maybe another 45 minutes tacked on for the return trip charging session.

I think this is doable, projections of running 1.0 mile/KWH are based on 65mph driving, pulling my 7x14 V-nose with dual axles, total trailer weight 4-5K.

I have a couple more hundred miles to put on in light duty mode before I do a live test, I'm going to haul my backup drag racer (Kawasaki ZX14r) to the track for a test & tune session to see if my projections are on point or need adjustments.

Today (Saturday, got my official registration and safety inspection completed, we're ready to rock and roll!! 211 miles on the clock

Still no truck for me this weekend. Showing pending trailer pickup at the rail yard. It has been an hour from my house since 7/19. It looks like it may have been taken off the train one stop too early. At that point someone rejected my FordPass request. It has been at the correct location for about a week now according to the United tracker.

Picked up my Lightning today. Seamless and easy transaction at dealership!

Now it's decision time...
Definitely a tough one. I'm a big fan of the Rivian but I'm so far back on the list I may get in the 2027 model year build timeframe.

I look forward to your thoughts on this.

That looks like a Lariat, so around the same MSRP as the Rivian. For the same price I would take the Rivian due to the off road capability and better highway manners. Against the Rivian, the Lightning only makes sense to me at the lower trims.
