Coming after truck delivery!@TaxmanHog I saw on another thread that the Charge Station Pros are sometimes being shipped prior to receiving the truck. Is that how it is usually going or is it coming in the mail after you take delivery? If I have to wait for the charge station, then I'll want to install a NEMA 14-50 plug. Just trying to get my ducks in a row.
Originally they intended to have the FCSP delivered prior to truck by a week or two so that the install was done and we were ready to have full operation by truck delivery day.
Logistics problems getting them from the manufacturer to the preferred installer(s) cropped up.
Then delays with truck production and delivery screwed up the prioritization of just in time delivery and installation.
Then the BS hard sells from the preferred installer hoping we would fall for the solar, HIS and overpriced wiring package quotes, this experience drove me away from them, I hired an independent electrician to do mine, work will be starting as soon as the second service hardware arrives.
The process turned into, delivery of truck to dealer, confirming delivery to buyer, Ford sends the buyer address to Sun Run who the ships post haste to new truck owners.
I think if you can get the 14-50 plug set up done now, the mobile charger running @ 240v will tide you over until the FCSP arrives and your electrician can hard wire it.
I have seen a few reports of folks proactively ordering it to get the home install done ahead of schedule, then flipping the included FCSP after delivery from Sun Run or placing the second unit in service at another location (commercial workshop, business)
