I got the first day rental and keyfob coverage on top of the ExtraCare, for $200+ less than the Premium Care. HID coverage would be nice, but did not know.

This isn't relative to our lightings but it is to Ford.

So my wife's 2020 explorer st was brought into the shop yesterday. It started shifting really bad when she was driving it. So I grabbed it and sure enough the 2 to 3 shift was like getting rear ended. Both up shift and down shift. The thing has 58,000 miles on it ( we drive a lot) it also has some other minor problems that it has been in the shop for so it had a recent open ticket. The other items are not under warranty ( failed seat heater, failed backup camera) but this most recent does fall into the 60k power train warranty.

With my GM experience I was expecting a fight or at least the dealer sweeping this under a rug by reprogramming the shift strategy to limp us along until we pass our warranty period. Basicly shoo us away and then 5k miles later we'd be back for a new Transmission.

I am pleasenty surprised that they are keeping the car and replacing the Transmission under warranty. I know I shouldn't be surprised but in this day and age I am!. I just hope they have the parts. I heard it's a known issue.

Hats off to Ford and El cajon Ford. Makes me feel better about buying a first in series truck like the lighting.

OMG, I've been fighting this fight with my 2018 Lincoln Navigator for-ev-er... I can't get the stupid hard shift fixed!!! Worst part is now it's over the 60k powertrain warranty and I'm sure they're going to tell me to pay for my extended warranty to cover it. They told us we'd have to leave it with the dealer for 2+ months... luckily now that we have the Lightning we can actually do that but still its kinda annoying it's taking this long. Hopefully they just replace it! I might take it to El Cajon Ford lol

Supposed to take delivery before Oct. 6. but so far no luck. Been pushed out 3 times now. It's sad that the truck is sitting 50 miles away from me in Jessup MD. but no one will deliver. Guess we'll see.

Good news is Ford finally uploaded my Bluecruise (OTA) on my 2021 Platinum. Works like a champ but a bit nervous not having my hands on the wheel on a busy interstate.

UPDATE... Ford has changed the delivery date to the week of 10/7/2022 - 10/13/2022 - This is the 4th change to the delivery date.

I feel bad for everyone still waiting. I have had my truck for nearly a week now. Really enjoying it. Came from Tesla Model Y. Enjoying the extra size and space.

I have had lots of people stop me in parking lots and ask questions. Placing cargo in the front usually gets lots of looks and interest. Been a fun truck. Hope everyone gets theirs soon.

I've been wondering if there are any detrimental impacts to the battery by having it sit at the rail yard for over a month? I know Tesla recommends plugging in your vehicle if you plan to be away for extended periods. I doubt the rail yards are plugging in the trucks. My truck will have been unplugged for almost two months from when it shipped to the latest ETA.
