Can the dealer be somehow putting a hold on the truck hoping I will change my mind and they will take delivery? Are they capable of such a thing? My delivery ETA is only few days away and they didnt even open the doors yet alone ship it. I am likely to get another delay and there is something else going on here that I am failing to figure out.

I don’t believe the dealer has any control over the shipping. It is disappointing that you still don’t have an update from Ford. I haven’t seen your user entry in the order tracker. If you update the tracker with your info or PM @TaxmanHog perhaps he can let you know what other folks are still in the same boat. He’ll need your VIN.

New delivery ETA update 10/10-10/16. It is not even shipped yet so its pretty certain thats also going to get delayed as well. This must be a nonsense automated update system since it updated today with an eta starting from yesterday.

That would have been amazing but I doubt it. I had this happen to me already like 4 other times. I am skeptical

That has been my thinking. Ford knows it hasn't been shipped and simply automatically updates the delivery date without any actual planning or intervention.

I can't believe that the Ford rep for the dealer cannot get the details on what is going on with your Lightning.

My dealer claims, none of the people they worked with before are there anymore. With the recent job cuts, they let go of all their contacts. They did inquire about what might be happening but they didn't hear back since the truck doesn't show any delays or holds. When there is an ETA on delivery, apparently their hands are tied as well. Or if it was shipped they could do more but its in this weird limbo state at the moment that no one seems to be able to help.

Finally I have some movement. My truck was moved from Rouge electric vehicle center to some place in New Boston MI. Apparently that's where it will be loaded to a train towards VA and then will be delivered to the dealer by a truck. Delivery ETA didn't update on the site yet but I have been told possibly first week of November but we will see what it ends up being with my luck. I am happy at least they finally moved it. Their delivery system also sucks that someone literally drove my truck 22 miles Saturday at 11:50pm to the new location. I don't get why they are risking these brand new vehicles being driven on the road in the middle of the night instead of coming up with a better method directly shipping from the factory. I already have 57 miles almost all driven on the road. Go figure.

Per ford support, the truck is now in railcar # TTGX820144 (Csx Transportation) and is scheduled to be delivered by November 10th. Finally some good news.

Yep, it has been a struggle so far. Hopefully will get it soon and won't get delayed again.

Glad to hear that the final 5/30 Lightning is heading to it's new home.

Look it over really closely when you get it especially the paint. Mine was delayed a couple of months in Detroit and according to the dealer had "acid rain" on it. It took the dealer a full day of buffing to get the paint looking new.
