FordPass on Sync 4a Screen

I had issues making my mobile device and Ford Pass operate certain features of the truck remotely soon after my 8/4/2022 delivery, IIRC it functioning, then stopped after first power update, BTW, my truck is still at 3.5.4

I think many of you have experienced similar concerns.

While poking around the Sync 4a screen, I tried out the FordPass Icon under Apps.

This triggered the following consents, I thought I had done this previously elsewhere in settings, but apparently what happens here has additional impact of truck telematic functions.

Now "FordPass" is listed and you can tailor your consents at risk of losing functionality.

Pro power onboard is now controllable from the mobile app truck still needs to be "Running"
You can switch the PPOB on and off (while truck is on), as well as the Front & Bed inverters.

Scales work too, note you will see this pop up on the Sync console if the scales are displayed and you start the scales function in the App, either of them will warn and offer you to stay with or switch to the other mode of operation as you need it. Can not display both at the same time.

Display of the scale data can be in either format, touch the ⇶ at the top right to show the scale display mode and the passenger load adjustments

PAAK active?

I do have PAAK. All I can find on the newest update is Priority Update 22-PU0929-BLM-UP.
My last update was 11/2

I can't pinpoint why this suddenly started working, my last Ford Pass update was October 9th v4.22.0, Last Power up 3.5.4 on October 28th

I believe 3.5.4 was my last update also.

Yeah I didn't see Ford Pass in my Apps either. I could have sworn it was there recently too but got removed when Ford fixed my BlueCruise and Alexa issues. I recall there being the zone lighting in the app previously too but it's not there anymore. It's hard to keep track of the changes.

All have always been present though would not work correctly.

With the consents agreed to on the Trucks Sync 4A center stack screen, all are working now.

I’m on CarPlay, PU 3.5.5, 22-PU0929-BLM-UP. PAAK is active, and we have the same Features & Settings in the FordPass app, but the Mobile Apps setting in the Sync4A settings is grayed out. Is it only active with Android Auto?

Double check these steps.

Step 1
Click the Icon with the Lightning symbol for profile information

Step 2
Within that menu you should see a FordPass Icon under Apps, tap it

Step 3
Click Yes to allow these functions to work, the consent process to unlock the grayed out switch.

Step 4
Return to Truck Menu, Settings, Mobile APPS,
Look for Mobile Apps switch to be on or tap to turn on.
If it's still grayed out, I have no idea why, other IOS users should confirm.

I checked mine this morning on my 12”. The FordPass app didn’t show up until I opened the app on my phone. Once opened on my phone the app came up on the truck screen.

I just don't have the FordPass icon on my screen, even with the FordPass app open and my iPhone connected to CarPlay.

Same here; no fordpass app on the screen. However, when I pulled out my iphone and woke it up to take a pic, the button appeared - when I pressed it, I was taken to the carplay screen and when I went back to the app page to try again, the fordpass button was gone. Sync has been really slow and laggy since my last update (3.5.4)....
