The head of Ford's HVAC Controls division is pulling his hair out today while reading forums after giving both sides of the great HVAC button debate exactly what they wanted. That is a mess right there. Hard and soft button temp controls, hard and soft dual climate zone controls, hard and soft defrost controls and hard and soft AC controls.
Maybe he should collaborate with the head of Battery Percentage Display and figure out how to put it on every IP screen at least once. The head of Ford's HVAC Controls division is pulling his hair out today while reading forums after giving both sides of the great HVAC button debate exactly what they wanted.![]()

My daughter had a 2013 Edge and the touchscreen on it went. The dealership wanted over $1300 to fix it, which involved simply replacing a module. I took it to a Car Audio place and had a whole new system put in that included an updated camera system, touch screen (which also controlled the heat and air) speakers and a sub for a little more than the cost of the module. If they went back to a screen like that, I'm on to a Toyota.This.
I once had a 2013 Edge.
98% touch screen.
I liked it.
Apparently I was in the minority.
Lots of complaints of no physical button.
Hence a mish-mash.
