No, the dealer gets a courtesy invoice from Ford when your truck is near completion.

Ask your dealer to get a VIN View (tracking) to see what railcar your vehicle is assigned.

Then use the decoder guide (pinned page) from @Sdctcher to track your vehicle by phone.

As soon as the truck is delivered to the dealer is when you can sign a contract for it.

You can not get the truck contracted earlier (ie in transit).

I was reading 10/24 thread. It looks like a dealer freaked out when they saw the invoice price was $5000 higher and would not accept the real price. So the guy ended up paying $5000 higher to pick up his truck. That seem to be in minority. The other dealer had to have Ford reissue a new invoice with the new price to accept it. others were OK after getting some verification. It looks like a bit of a crap shoot with the process.
