Tailgate will not open

It took 2.5 weeks at the dealer, but yes, it is resolved now.

They replaced a Control Unit, MU5Z 14B291U

Also, they had to correct and reload the configuration. Here's a scan...

My tailgate was finally repaired too. There was corrosion in a connector within the tailgate. They had to replace a section of wiring harness, but now everything is working as it should.

Not really encouraging that there was corrosion within a few weeks of ownership, but hopefully one of those infrequent issues.

Tonight my power tailgate stopped working and did the three beep thing like described earlier in this thread. I toggled valet mode and the tailgate started working, again.

There was no message anywhere to know that this was the issue.

Does the Controls-Access screen show the tailgate?

Mine just shows the frunk even after the tailgate started working again.

I did this same thing too - toggled in and out of valet mode, and it started working again. No clue why this would work, or how to know this, but when I saw the message from Nick, I tried it because I just used valet mode last weekend.

Today I went out to get something in my truck bed (have a locked topper) and the tailgate would not open evening running. It didn’t matter if I use the remote for the open button inside the truck. Interestingly, when I first got in, I had a message on the screen that said something like battery save mode. Anyone had this problem? I guess I need to take it to the dealer.

This is the message. The truck is fully charged. Also tried to manually open the tailgate in relation to the previous post.

Did this get resolved? I've had multiple issues. And its stopped working all together now.

I'm having the same issues. Did anyone here get this resolved? The Ford Dealer I went to just gave up on trying to fix it. Anyone got any ideas?
