Happy new year and congrats. Enjoy it.Happy New Year!! Anyone lucky enough to take delivery today?!
Oh, I didnβt take delivery, I was wondering if anyone else did!Happy new year and congrats. Enjoy it.
Wishful thinking has taken over all my faculty.Oh, I didnβt take delivery, I was wondering if anyone else did!
My wife says Iβm the king of wishful thinkingβ¦ I must not be the only one!Wishful thinking has taken over all my faculty.
Once my dealer had my order, I verified with them that they would honor the contract with Ford and not charge anything over MSRP. Might want to talk to them about it to make sure.Happy New Year everybody. As we get closer to delivery day I am getting more and more nervous that my dealer is going to try to charge 20k ADM or something when it shows up. They are a small dealer and have already told me this is the only Lightning they are getting for 2023. What should I do to prepare to combat this if it comes up?
I hear a lot of high trim Lightnings are sitting at dealer lots and people feeling nervous about economy in 23 with high interest rates so I am not sure market will be as hot and dealers have as strong of a hand to play games. Stick to your guns and wear them down before they wear you down.Happy New Year everybody. So strange you are on a separate train this close together!
Thatβs interesting United road has an estimated date for you. Whatβs the status? Mine says inactiveNo movement on my vehicle for a few weeks now. Order tracking page shows built as of 12/17 with no shipping information. My reservation page matches the email I received on 12/19 which states a delivery of 12/28 - 1/3. Ford chat just let me know that the vehicle has not yet been shipped and the new ETA to the dealership is 1/6.
When I enter my VIN on that United Road website, it still shows "estimated" next to the pick-up and delivery locations. Also, I did not realize that by signing up on that website I would now be getting notifications when they deliver ANY vehicles to my dealership. Nothing like getting an email yesterday showing an F150 delivery only to realize it doesn't belong to you.
I have exactly 1011 lines on a pro with no options FWIWThe update I got from my dealer this morning seemed to indicate my truck was back in Dearborn. Motorcraft accepts my VIN, the data has just reverted to how it looked prior to production.
My guess is that trucks like mine and yours with ~1000 addresses are the ones missing chips. I'm hoping the completely blank data now indicates that they took it back to Dearborn for completion and that the old module data has been purged ahead of a new upload after it is complete.
Interest rates are protected to the date youβre ordered FYI. Not sure if you know that and found better rates elsewhereHope you get your additional 600 lines soon. I wonder if some lines would be missing due to the scales missing. I think they should add the scales back in for free due to the additional drama they are putting us through. I am already starting to stress out about more people posting their main battery pack issues.
Now I have to look forward to my truck's brain going blank (If I am lucky). You know I am not going to tell my wife about my Truck being low on IQ. That kinda ammunition will last for years.
Edit:
This due had a Nov 7th built date and still no progress:

I wish there was some sort of communication on what the estimated chip delay is. Being on standby when rules of the game (Tax credit, interest rates, ....) changes regularly is not fun.
I never got a loan for my car purchases so a little clueless about how it works.Interest rates are protected to the date youβre ordered FYI. Not sure if you know that and found better rates elsewhere
