Price Protection After the Fact People

FWIW, mine went like this.

1. Ordered 2023 Pro on 8/3/22 (holdover wave 1), MSRP base price was $47K (i.e. after 1st price increase)
2. It was built in December 22 after 2nd price increase and window sticker had base price of $52K
3. Delivered 2/12/23, dealer automatically honored the $47K from when I ordered it. I mentioned the price protection down to the original price of $40K, but they didn't know anything about it and I didn't know the details and went ahead with the purchase.
4. A week later I did some Googling and found out more details about the price protection program. I went back to my dealer and the sales manager said they also looked it up the next day and checked my account and I wasn't listed on the price protection program. He even showed me on the computer where it should be. We went over the qualifications and it was clear that I qualified so they agreed to contact the area manager. The next day they had already heard back that I was eligible and asked me to come in to sign some paperwork. I did and about 2 weeks later a $7,000 check arrived in the mail from Ford.

Anyone else out there have any updated data points? Whether you received a check or have asked about a check and been told it's coming or not coming?

I'm at just over a month and will be looking for a check soon.

I haven't pushed it yet (been travelling), although I'm going to try to get in front of the GM next week. I'm hoping they'll just man up and tell me directly that they decided to keep the refund.

Dealer was paranoid of the process working instead of trusting the process, advancing the credit on the P&S at the original time of closing, dealers like this need to go the way of the buggy whip, JMHO!!

Dealer confirmed today that price protection (for Oct. 2022 $5k increase on Pro) check will go out tomorrow. Awkward and inconvenient process, but it can work eventually.

No its actually worse than that. Its 13k in price protection now for those not built yet. Mine was built in january and mine has a 9k price protection on it (if the dealer *gets* the money from ford)

Your right. My msrp is 46k and now sticker at 59k when it gets built.

my dealer said up front it will be 60-90 days to get the price protection refund if ford issues one. And I got it within that window.

Check arrived at the dealer last week from Ford on a 1/21 vehicle delivery.

That being said, still bringing to the attention to my state's AG/DCP, nobody should have to go through this. I know plenty of cases worse than mine of dealers blatantly using denial of price protection as a tactic to either pocket the difference to invoice or pull buyers away from their special orders so they can flip off the lot at a markup. Ford is toothless to enforce pricing and the dealers are rewarded for pleading ignorance. Consumer is screwed in the meantime.

Glad to hear these responses coming in. It seems like more people are getting the check than not, so certainly chime in if you still haven't gotten anything.

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem uncommon to take almost 90 days from purchase date, where earlier the range was supposed to be 30-45-60 days.

Same. Will let you know. My Pro was supposed to build week Feb 13th... and still no word of it shipping (chalking that up to the extended factory shutdowns).

I'm confused i was a day one res holder. I finanly ordered a Pro on 9/28/22 and I don't remmber what the price was. It now shows 55,974 plus destination. It's scheduled for early May to be built. I've been thinking that's just to much money. Would I qualify for anything or is it not that cut and dry?
