My dealer took my X-Plan pin and had me fill out a couple forms but told me they weren't sure if it was applicable. They told me they would cut me a check if a discount was available. Not holding my breath.

It gave me the option during the online checkout process to use an X-Plan pin. I couldn't use the online checkout process though due to the Price Protection and PCO.

Unfortunately my company has stopped being a preferred partner and my last Pin expired a few months ago.

Taking delivery of my truck right now (AM Blue, Lariat, XR). They did take the X-plan. It only brought price down by $150 or so, but the doc fee became $100 instead of the $899 or so they charge normally. This is at Angela Krause Ford in Alpharetta.

I was given an X-Plan option online as well. My pin had just expired and my company no longer is a preferred partner unfortunately.

2023's are eligible...I guess it's up to each dealer.

I have my PIN ready for when we sit down at purchase tomorrow or Friday. Hopefully my dealer will let it go thru.

I had an xplan pin, but was unable to apply it when I ordered in the first week of September. My build week ended up being the first week of the 23 models, but still never had the option to use it.

I used x plan successfully last week. It makes very little difference on the price of the truck, but was very effective in knocking down the dealer’s attempts to tack on fees.

Was the discount $500.00?
For mine:

Invoice = MSRP 87164.00
X-Plan Discount .4% -348.66
X-Plan Fee +275.00
Sub Total 87090.34

My dealer attempted to add 1000s in additional fees, but per x plan, the ONLY fee above the discounted MSRP shown above should be a 100 flat doc fee, plus state required sales tax and tag/title.

My dealer also tried to slide in some artificial tax items on mine and claim that x plan allows them to pass along taxes. I was able to get the bogus taxes and fees knocked off when I threatened to report them to the Ford x plan team.

Ultimately, I think that the x plan and protection that it provides saved me about 3000-4000 of fees that would have gone straight to the dealer’s pocket.

Wow.

Thank you for this info. :)

Quick question... should I present my X-Plan at the closing or should I notify them of it now? Delivery should be any day now.

Thanks.

Thanks.

I would let them know upfront that you have x plan and have them start working up the numbers to send to you ahead of time. That hopefully will give you more time to review everything before you get there.

Has anyone used X-Plan pricing recently? Does anyone have access to dealer invoice pricing on Lightnings vs MSRP? Enough of an impact to make it worthwhile?

I may have answered my own questions.

Following the links and prompts for X-Plan access from my employer site, the list of models to choose from does not include the Lightning. So it appears it still does not qualify.

Also found several sites such as Edmunds and KBB that indicate that Dealer Invoice and MSRP for this model are about the same. So I assume that, if accurate, any Lightning sold at MSRP means the dealer profit is solely from holdback, which the sites also implied is somewhere north of $2K.
