Don't have it yet, they just sent me some pics from the lot. I had to go outside of Ford to get a good interest rate to pair with the $7500 off. Because I ordered during the good interest rates I had the option to lock in at those great rates. But what was better was getting a very good rate AND the $7500 off. Just waiting for the check to arrive from the bank now. Worth a couple days wait to save thousands of dollars. What are your first impressions? Worth the wait?
What kind of rate and terms did you find? Through a credit union? I have a prequalified rate from Capital One, but I’m not pleased with it. I have a Ford loan on my Mach-e, but it was two years ago. I found them easy to work with, but I’m not looking for a great rate on a greater than three year loan.Don't have it yet, they just sent me some pics from the lot. Well I wanted to use the 2.99% at Ford. But I’d have to give up the $7500 off. I Found a 4.54% rate at Navy Federal for 36 months which is not bad compared to what Ford is offering. My sales guy actually asked me as he wanted to join LOL.What kind of rate and terms did you find? Through a credit union? I have a prequalified rate from Capital One, but I’m not pleased with it. Some clarity on this $7,500, please. Is this in lieu of the tax credit?Well I wanted to use the 2.99% at Ford. But I’d have to give up the $7500 off. I'm right there with you. We can play in the dirt and collect bugs or somethingI feel like the kid on the playground that gets picked last!
Fortunately, you're not.I feel like the kid on the playground that gets picked last!
Ford sales incentive in lieu of low interest rates, total disconnected from the federal BEV credit, he will still get that upon filing 1040-2023 next spring. Some clarity on this $7,500, please. Is this in lieu of the tax credit?
Discount on the pricing which I assume is them trying to get rid of the '23s now that the 24's are ordering. I still think the 23 is the better deal with everything they pulled out of the 24.Some clarity on this $7,500, please. Is this in lieu of the tax credit?
Gotcha. My dealership had all these great offers recently (when all they had were 4 high end Lightnings on the lot): low APR, $2,000 trade-in assist, free wall charger, etc., and they won’t honor any of them for me. They won’t even remove the mobile charging cord from my order. Not feeling like I have much negotiating power for this, my 5th new Ford truck. If it’s gonna be a straight MSRP deal with a crappy rate and trade-in offer, I can prepare for that.Ford sales incentive in lieu of low interest rates, total disconnected from the federal BEV credit, he will still get that upon filing 1040-2023 next spring.
My dealership is showing an antimatter blue XLT with some towing stuff I don’t need. Just for chuckles I did an email request for a quote with financing. 8.99% across the board for 48, 60, and 72 month loans with $20-30K down.Gotcha. Did you order during the promo Rate window? if not there is no promo rate, you can either get the promo rate or the up to 7500 cash incentive. if you do the math the cash incentive usually wins out.I was just in my dealership early this week, talked about the missing scales, wondered if I should wait for the 2024's, and he assured me I can still get the 1.9% that was offered when I ordered it. He seemed sure of it. The 1.9% is just if I get < 36 month loan, any longer amount the rate goes way up. I'm still not sure he's right, but if the financing doesn't come through at 1.9% I may wait until the 2024 flash model.
(BTW, I have an XLT so I don't get the real big dealer discount of the fancy trucks.)

Shop around outside the dealership. That rate is high depending on your credit score. Dealers usually have a "Buy Rate" that they get from a lender and then they mark it up themselves. Always ask a dealer who does internal financing what the "Buy rate" on the loan is. If they don't tell you walk away.
