Since at least last week, I get an error on FordPass app when attempting to instruct my FCSP to "derate" (well, more "uprate") from 60 amps back to 80 amps. See pic. (Before you ask, it's on a 100 amp breaker. Yes, 60 A is adequate for most of my needs. Before I derated it to test that specific FordPass feature, it worked fine at 80.) That's what I get for playing with the software... at least it still charges, but at 60. I didn't dare test to see if it accepted a lower amp level!

I called Ford and was informed that it's a known issue that is being investigated. No estimate on resolution time. The squirrels powering the servers must be on vacation.

Thanks for the update. In the past, I've tried to change the Max Current Requested, and in spite of the Your Changes Have Been Saved "confirmation," the charging rate wouldn't change (for the longest time, it was stuck on 80A). And then, invariably, at some later time, for some unknown reason, the rate would eventually change. Only rarely, maybe back in 2023, did I find that the change requested went into effect shortly after the FordPass change request. YMMV, depending on how screwed up the gateway module is in your truck (my FCSP/truck communication is pretty messed up, and I'm looking forward to a promised August 2024 update supposed to fix things up).

Adjustment of the FCSP charge rate has been unreliable in my experience since day one, I've given up testing it since I'm satisfied with the 80 amp performance level.

I could never get my app to connect to the pro charger, It failed 30 plus times to connect and I finally gave up. When I installed mine there was a hard setting in the body of the charger where you could select the breaker size and reduce the amps to fit your breaker size. If you pop off the cover you could probably make this change yourself as an alternative option to derate the amps it will pull.

Is that an update for the FCSP in August (I hope)?
With my SR battery I'm limited to 48A which is fine for my needs, but the FordPass/FCSP communication is buggy.

I had a lot of trouble too.
The customer service tech gave me some tips that eventually helped along with the red reset button on the top left of the circuit board.
Things that the documentation overlooked.
Use the 2.4GHz wifi was one thing I hadn't thought of - 2.4 travels farther than the 5G and so gets picked up by the FCSP better.

But ultimately, taking the cover off and doing a hard reset by pushing and holding the little red button on the top left of the circuit board did the trick for me.

The hard setting (potential breaker max amps) is still on 80 amps but the FordPass setting is determining how much actually gets sent to the truck.
UPDATE: today (8-16-24) the app actually did allow me to change setting to 80 amps!!!!
Sir Charging Squirrel must have come back from vacation!
