I’m reserved for a Lightning in Phoenix AZ and wondering if anyone around here might want to trade their PRO/XLT wheels for my Platinum wheels. I like black wheels, not silver ?. Maybe others might be in same boat and can use this thread to try and arrange swaps?

I don’t like the 22” platinum and 20” lariat wheels much myself. I’m hoping when you place your order that you can select standard f150 wheels as an option.

The Lightning wheels appear to be aero wheels, prepare to lose some range if swapping them with aftermarket or factory ICE wheels. Here's an article where an E-Golf loses about 20% of its range after a tire swap:

Swapping within the Lightning lineup should probably be fine. I also don't know if Ford has released the wheel specs yet, the offset could be different and from looking at pictures the bolt pattern looks the same but who knows.

The E-Golf example above is extreme, the aero wheels are supposed to add 1-2% to the efficiency of the vehicle and it looks like they're retained for the test, So it shows how much of a hit is possible not using low rolling resistance tires. How low rolling resistance the Lightning tires will be remains to be seen.

I also am starting to lean towards a platinum but I hate the black accents(grille and wheels.) I’d much rather have the gray of the lariat, but with all the options I want to add, the Platinum makes sense.

wondering if the grille will be swappable as well…

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that swapping to all terrain or mud terrain tire is going to cause a much grater reduction than swapping just the wheels.

I may be interested in them, I’m planning on an XLT and have found the 20” carbonized grey wheels will most likely be optional, if they aren’t I’d gladly trade
