August 5th Email = Early Reservation Holders?

On Aug.5th, many of us received an email from Ford, not the dealership, that “ Your place in line has been reserved. Here’s what’s next”. Ford also stated in the same email, “ Great news: the date and time of your reservation* have been verified. We’ll be sure to keep you posted throughout the process and will send more info on how to order your new F‑150 Lightning this fall.”

I'm testing a theory here. It seems that not everyone received the email I have attached on August 5th. I wonder if only those with early reservations, meaning within the first 12 hours from the event, received this email. I checked and received this email too.

Did everyone receive this email? If my theory is correct, not everyone did. Please indicate whether you received this email with the poll.

If you did not receive this email, please let us know when you placed your reservation from the time of the event. For example, I placed mine almost 12 hours from the beginning of the Lightning reveal.

Assuming there is a correlation, does anyone think that it may be indicative that those who received the email may be in the first batch to convert their reservation into an order?

I could be way off base here, but just curious if everyone received this email and what they think.

Admin - if there is a better way to do this, by all means feel free to do so.

What time did you place your reservation from the Lightning reveal? (I'm curious if you were part of the first 20,000 reservation holders.

Got the e-mail, didn't reserve until June 3 (so way outside the top 20k)

I got that email also. Don't recall if I was one of the original 20k, but I waited until the next morning to reserve mine since I want to keep my current truck for a bit. So it was after 12 hours I think.

Reservation number doesn't matter; only the time stamp of your reservation. That is why I'm not asking what your reservation number is. The Lightning reveal was 5/19 at 9:30 pm EDT. This is the only point at which we can reference your time stamp unless you are able to look at the meta data. (A different threat on that. It didn't work for me. I couldn't find my exact time stamp. Ford's email confirming my reservation has 7:40 am PDT on 5/20/21. So look at your reservation confirmation email and that should help.

Answered poll “no” because I got the same email 2:26 pm ET September 2, 2021. Made reservation August 26, 2021. Assume all reservation holders got one.

Very interesting! So maybe there is no correlation if everyone received the same email, albeit different dates.

I put my reservation in August 14th and got this same email August 20th

Reserved shortly after the reveal. I did not get that email. I did get the "You've reserved a powerhouse" email on 8/20.

Turns out I did receive the email, but it had a different subject line (F-150 Lighting takes an American icon to the next level) and had a timestamp of 8/5/21 11:12 AM CT
