I wonder if the battery stays warm(er) under load from towing and because of this doesn't get as much of a loss from normal cold weather conditions as the work-load is keeping it warm. Hmm.. those are good towing numbers regardless of winter conditions!
Is there any data on how future proof this Sunrun/ford installed system is? If I drop the 10k will it work on any EV trucks going forward, only Ford, or who knows at all? The inverter in it, like a any other solar system, should be rated for 10-20 years (warranty).. you would hope if you dropped...
This - we should start go fund me or go find me. lol. The sound brings in soooo much surronding attention at camp grounds.. takes forever to get setup with all the folks coming by asking questions (not that I mind but still).
I was towing without tow-haul mode on going against a strong headwind. Temps certainly went up after sometime but never got too insanely high, or outside of the little ____|_____|____ box that I am assuming it wants you to operated within.
Kinda did that as a test. Every other time I've put it...
That's outstanding efficiency! I am not sure if I've ever gotten over 1.1 going 60+ on my trailer. My normal around going 65-70 is .8-.9. I've seen .7 when fighting a nasty headwind but nothing ever lower than that.
Looking at your dry tongue weight - the Lightning sure is nice having a higher...
Holy smokers -- haha nice name! I think that efficiency was pretty good! Glad to hear you found some good chargers along the way. I'm going to do a two-charger camping trip soon as well.
This would explain why it kept trying to have me go near north-STL to charge and get shot at instead of an EA charger normally available before or after that area.
Oh and as far as the GOM issues - do you think at any point camping you may have accidently started towing without saying a trailer is connected (selecting your trailer from a list)? If that happened it would have fed into your normal GOM estimates.
You had to sit and wait for a level 2? Ouch.. that's my nightmare, having that happen with the family. Your efficiency numbers seem pretty high tho which is sweet! I get .8 on average cruise controlled at 70. I may get 1.0+ if under 60 but haven't done enough testing there to know.
Yes! That's it for miles and miles in that pass. Can't tow through there without it working. Last time I was there only #3 was working at an ok speed along with #2 only running at ~36kW. Nothing else was working.
My personal experience on my ER Lariat - and what others are shared plenty of times across these forums. Over 1000 miles of high driving for my self and I've seen 2.1-2.2 doing about 72 on average. 2.0 seems a little low.. but this is a platinum so maybe that is more normal.
I've test drove an ICE F-150 before the PDI was done; right off the delivery truck basically. They wouldn't let me take it home though. I completed the paperwork and came back the next day to pick it up after the PDI was done.
