  1. 250 mile trip report: Lightning PRO - TOWING 3,000lb Powered Camper...

Exceptional write up. Thanks for all the nitty gritty details. Us camper towers appreciate it.
  2. Range Impact of Aftermarket Off-Road Wheels and Tires on the Ford F-150 Lightning [Motortrend]

Has anyone looked into if the road tires (non A/T) on the truck are readably available for purchase? Where they made specific for the truck or are the off the shelf tires? Also are there any better choices out there to go the other way, to be more efficient?
  3. A short weekend camper trip with the Lightning -- averaged 1.0-1.1 mi/kwh with trailer attached

22.5ft Long Just under 11ft tall counting the A/C 8ft Wide max weight loaded is 6800 but I most likely run it around 6000-6200. Tongue Weight is around 680lbs
  4. Anyone tow an Airstream basecamp yet?

Based on Air stream's comparing tool - with the lower height and less width - you should see a pretty good increase there. Of course you were asking for specifics.. watching this thread to see if anyone posts as well...
  5. Charge Station Pro Problems

Mine eventually let me change the setting the next day without having to do any kind of reset. Has worked like a champ since.
  6. A short weekend camper trip with the Lightning -- averaged 1.0-1.1 mi/kwh with trailer attached

I brought this one along: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09NPF2CL8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 So I could adjust (unlike the ford one) -- altho I believe the Ford one would have worked just fine in this case. Also I saw a post out there today about the charger(s) not...
  7. Anyone else running into issues with EA 350kW stations?

I had this same issue in Mt. Vernon, IL's charge stations and Sullivan, MO's charge station. Starts and then limits to like 36kW. I reported both but judging by plugshare I don't think either have been addressed.
  8. A short weekend camper trip with the Lightning -- averaged 1.0-1.1 mi/kwh with trailer attached

No, didn't try but I should have. Our pedestal had a 30 amp plug (our camper is only 30 amp) and a 50 amp plug. Kept the charger on the 50 amp plug set to 32 amp pull; they both ran fine off the 1 pedestal.
  9. A short weekend camper trip with the Lightning -- averaged 1.0-1.1 mi/kwh with trailer attached

Great efficiency - can I assume sub 60mph speeds? We went this weekend as well and averaged .8-.9 on the way there and .7-.8 on the way back fighting a 10-15 MPH headwind. Cruise controlled at 65mph both ways. 90 miles 1 way. On the way there truck said I had 30 miles left, on the way back it...
  10. New tonneau bed cover installed, range has increased

I did end up going with the Peragon. You're right but that is only at the very front of the bed and you lose like 8ish inches of height for about 1-2 feet. I can get exact measurements but that's the only space you "lose" - but the rest of the bed you have full height up to the top of the unit...
  11. Cost of Lightning Insurance

160bux a month for a 2021 Mach-E XR-Prem. and the Lariat Lightning and a 22 travel trailer. Overall my payment when down 1 dollar (lol) a month when I traded in my 21 ICE Lariat for the Lightning.
  12. Powertrain Malfunction/Reduced Power

Thanks for taking the time to report back. Glad to hear, despite it taking forever, it wasn't a super serious issue. Hopefully they share their knowledge out to the rest of the ford techs / upload to some kind of knowledge base.
  13. Free Tesla destination chargers found near my home! New city chargers for both Tesla SuperChargers and L2.

Tesla noob here - are there any concerns with this being a 48amp unit not working with all tesla destination chargers? Are there dest. chargers that go above 48amp that this would be dangerous to use with? Would the truck be smart enough not to pull above 48 - I guess that should be my...
  14. Power Up-3.4

Got this as well but haven't noticed anything. Mine made some pretty "different" sounds as it was updating. In particular it made a modulating sound that appeared to come out from the back of the truck but not sure what is really back there but the back-up speaker that could have done that...
  15. 330 Mile Road Trip with Travel Trailer Towed by Lightning Lariat Extended Range (ER)

Amazing write up - thank you for sharing. Very glad to hear the Paducah stations are up and going, will be using those in a few weeks for sure.
  16. BREAKING: @Tesla Supercharger membership packages announced for Non-Tesla EV owners ($0.99/month)

If Tesla can use a EA station.. it should work both ways you would think. Even tho adaptors don't exist yet (?) to go CCS > Tesla, it should be possible? Adaptors indeed please. As far as deployment - maybe do it like the bank does trying to keep people from stealing pens. Leave them dangling...
  17. First fill-up with the Lightning $220.25. What am I doing wrong?😀

Wow it's 3.29 there. Dang. IL and our awesome gas tax is still over 4. Not that it's a problem for most of us anymore lol.
  18. Lightning vs Silverado EV after the latest ford price increases/feature deletes?

If chevy can get the payload to 1700 then I'll think about it. 1200 like they were advertising is not usable for myself.
  19. Sunrun did not inform me that I was paying for a 50 amp circuit!

Got a 100 amp run in a 200 amp house - completely doable/safe depending on how much of the rest of your house runs on electric vs natural gas.
